curt, thanks, I have a great photo mentor. Yes it is. You have a keen eye!

Pat, playing hooky already!! The happenings at the rail yard are hard to resist!
thanks Mark. Quarter Gauger 48, is a great mentor! Here's one he suggested I compose. Figures large in foreground and focus on the plane.

@Quarter Gauger 48 posted:😒 Well Curt, you are not alone'.. I have a 13' straight a way, but the rest is all 36. So, I know exactly how you feel... When I constructed my layout, I wasn't aware of the many radiuses out there, and all the new technology over the past many years. So ,we live and learn. I have to dismantle my current layout, as we will be moving to our summer house permanently. The new empire will be at least 54 or wider radius...
Ted and Curt...sounds like my prior layout before we moved to our new place three years ago...I had a track configuration like Curt's with a 20' run with 042 curves...like Ted mentions, when I did the first layout, the number of curve radius's available was a mystery. I was a novice in the hobby. On the new layout, I may have gotten it right with a 24' run and 072 radius on the outside track and an 063 on the inside track. The curves are smooth and the appearance looks realistic...easily can run my steamers and 21" GGD passenger cars. Ted, I can imagine your new layout will be a prize winner, given your knack for the detail work! Curt, great layout too...I get the feeling all three of us are "car" guys, in addition to liking the trains...lol...
Here's a partial view of the North Main Street curve. I'll get a better picture later

Great stuff. Where is the tower located?
My built from scratch grain silos. Actually, kind of crude, but they get the job done. I raided my wife’s material supply and found the tube she had her upholstery material rolled on and begged her for it. I fastened them together with “101 uses” for “bondo” (automotive body repair putty”. I just have to get them lettered, then they will look more real.

Dallas Joseph,
Thanks for the comments. I was fortunate to see one in flight also. Flew about 300 feet over my house. it was part of the 75th Anniversary of the end of WWII. The WWII warbirds staged in a few regional airports outside of Washington, DC. One of which was the Manassas, VA airport, about 1.5 miles from our house. We also attended the flyover at the Mall in DC. An example of many US WWII planes. A flight of I think 5 P-51s flew over the Mall at below the ceiling set for the flyby, I'm sure. Spectacular. It ended, as the War did, with a flyover of a B-29, FiFi. I think she's the only surviving, still flying B-29. The Greatest Generation, indeed!
FOR TODAY: " Sunday morning in Patsburg."
Over at West Yard ... Vic & Skeets, the rear end crew for freight train number 120 east yaks it up while the rest of their train is backing up to be coupled to their caboose. Cautious Clay, the locomotive engineer, is backing the train at 1 mph. Vic and Skeets figure Ol Cautious should have that train arrive at the caboose about lunch time. It's now 9:15 a.m.
Headed by a class J locomotive , the Pocahontas arrives at Patsburg Station at 10:02 a.m. right on time. Looks like a fair amount of town folk are departing since Labor Day is tomorrow. On the adjacent track freight train 120 east is still backing up, at a crawl, toward its' caboose which is still in West Yard. Vic and Skeeter are on their third cup of coffee already as the wait for their train to arrive.

Ted, great picture of a classic station...they did a major restoration on the station a few years ago....seems they forgot to restore the tower My late brother used to take lots of pictures there. Once on a busy traveling day a few years ago, he mentioned the station attendant announced that the "local" would be pulling in shortly, so the would be passengers got up off their seats and approached the yellow line. Needless to say that to everyone's surprise, it was the Acela, and not the local, that blew by at 100 mph plus...the station attendant came out and my brother said he looked pale and shocked...fortunately, no issues from the bad call...

Here is my picture. 1930's Kraus Fandor clockwork streamliner. I finally received it yesterday after a long period in the custody of
USPS. Only the second one I have ever see. Now I have both. Not the best
condition, but the motor is much better than the other one. I researched the first one and found some pictures of the prototype
train in some magazines I purchased on ebay germany. I posted it on the forum a few years ago and some one sent me a couple of
pics from a german hobby publication? showing pictures of two of them on a table at a train show, Steve Eastman maybe.
I think they came in 3 and 4 car sets. I would really like to get these cleaned up, but I am
never sure to attack this kind of rust without further damage.
Best John

Paul, they did a beautiful restoration job on the station. Plus it is immaculate inside'.. They currently have 9 trains daily to New York City.
I just missed the Acela, as I was just pulling up to the station. By the time I got out of the car'.. it was gone'.. I don't know how they missed the tower. Perhaps it is unrepairable. It is very cool. The station in Exiter, has a nice operation also. That will be my next shoot'...😁
A few more of the West Kingston, RI, former New Haven, line currently Amtrak.
