Construction going on at Bob’s Country Store. ( The Woodland Scenics product comes with the under construction feature, I just added to it.) The lumber company just delivered the roof sheathing and windows.
Mike, the unloader is certainly the ticket!!
Curt, that load of lumber must have cost a pretty penny in these times. It is a great addition to the scene!

It’s in very nice shape, Lee.
Hey Mark, I wish you could buy real lumber for what this model lumber costs. The era of my layout is 1970, so lumber wasn’t too bad back then, but considering I was only making about $5/Hr it seemed high. Curt

Yes, I wonder what I did pay for a sheet of plywood for my first layout in 1969 or '70.
Hey Mark, I bet it was 7 or 8 bucks and was a lot better quality. I used high density particle board on mine, because the plywood now, warps so bad, even 3/4”, unless you get cabinet grade. The particle board is what they use for flooring and is really heavy, but it is nice and flat. Curt
It is never finished, is it Ted. Just like a real town.
Hey Patrick, do I see “Cool Hand Luke” there?

Indeed! He should have never cut the tops off those parking meters.

Patrick, the scenery on your layout never ceases to amaze me.

Curt, great scene...with today's lumber prices, you might consider putting a police detail by those lumber items...

Thank you Curt! You have created some quite amazing layout scenes yourself!

Ted, another realistic scene and great figures! I don't recall seeing the one above before? Given the dress color and other attributes on the blonde with the purple dress, I'm sure the construction guys across the street made plenty of comments Nice detail on the figures...

Ed, great scene...I love the cab with the figures installed...I need to get in motion here and do the same. Is the cab a Solido?

Wonderful photos guys! Patrick I dont know if it was you or not, but I half to say it was that has started everyone telling great stories about the photos you all are sharing of each of your wonderful layouts! I hope to get back to photos and stories as my layout starts to take shape again!

Great lighting Paul. Looks like a traffic jam to pickup there loved ones lol.
Great picture, Paul. Looks like the train pulling in also caused a traffic jam. Say, have you posted any pictures of your Greyhound Bus Terminal and buses? Looks very interesting from what I can see of it. Curt

Thanks, Curt...here's one...will post more later...the Greyhound Scenicruiser's are Corgi 1/50th and the other two are MTH.
With so much activity at the station, a distracted driver, having had one too many, hit the cycle, while the '55 Chevy tipped over trying to avoid the accident...miraculously, no serious injuries!

OK, Paul, that explains the traffic jamb. Nice looking bus station. Curt

Paul. That Bus station and Gray Dogs is off the charts very nice.
We have some very nice work being presented by all contributors. Nice to see this thread staying hot'... on another note, I received a WS, just plug car for my birthday from my wife. She didn't realize it required the hub, and a power pack. Has anyone been able to direct wire one of these cars to an alternative power source. I 'm not interested in buying the hub and a wall wart... I would image it could be powered like any other LEDs....

Ted - HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! Sorry not to be able to answer your question regarding an alternative way to power your new lighted Woodland Scenics vehicle. I hope you had a most enjoyable birthday though!!!
@Capetrainman, Nice Bus station I have one of those, but the buses are to spendy for me right now. Maybe I will find a cheap couple when I get the town closer to being finished.
@Quarter Gauger 48, Ted happy birthday, as for powering your new car I use to use an old cell phone wall wart. Now I use a 12v and run that threw a buck converter and dial down to the proper voltage.
@trumpettrain, Patrick wonderful view, but man I sure hope the guys have some help to move the crate on the ground.
Nothing from me as I am still working on trying to get the layout back to near where it was.
Patrick, you've taken "a picture a day..." to heart with almost daily postings. Now does Otto own any of those rigs he's driving or does he just hire out of the union hall?
Curt, great vignette and story down at the Feed and Grain. Just wondering about the plastic "curtain" seen in some of those pictures. Construction dust control?
Great contributions all! Thank you.
Happy belated Birthday, Ted!
Great shots, everyone! Paul, the guy on the lawn with the newspaper over his head didn’t even wake up!
Lee, nice job on the Alco!
Here’s a Lionel “44” ton switcher I repainted and decaled:

Waiting for the word to board the "Chief..." Lots of action at the "Greyhound" terminal across the street...
Happy b-day, Ted...

Yes Coach Joe, the whole layout is covered with plastic sheet to keep the dust off while I am working on other areas. Curt
FOR TODAY: Chucky and his friend Scooter ride their bikes down to the railroad yard hoping to see some action on the day before school begins. They definitely got what they came for!
"Wow!! A real buffalo!" Chucky exclaims to Scooter. Scooter is doesn't reply because for the first time ever he is speechless.
Both boys can't believe their eyes as Buffalo Bob Evans stands on the gangway coaxing this huge beast from railcar to trailer.
Later the boys find themselves riding their bikes between empty freight cars. Chucky says " "It's always fun to explore between the tracks. It's kinda like reading between the lines. You can always find something of interest."
