On my trip down to Quantico for the Trackers show at the Marine Museum, I stopped along the way in Lorton, VA. There a hillside provides a view of the auto-Train facility. I think the incoming train had been late. Automobiles were both arriving and departing the facility, and it was quite crowded.  Here's a few views:

Rather than drive home late Sunday, I stayed over for a leisurely drive home on Monday morning. I stopped at Powells Creek, in Leesylvania State Park for these shots. It was a gray day, but I have seen much more beautiful photos there when the weather is better. Interesting that the No Trespassing sign still read RF&P. I stayed on the park land and did not trespass. I took a number of shots of the first freight, to see the variations in Intermodal Cars. Now I know how I can structure my Lionel version.

It was a great ride home.
