So far the Penn Station repairs underway by Amtrak have been going well. No major headaches for commuters yet. The local ABC affiliate in NY did a piece yesterday on the progress. (Sorry about the embedded ad).

here is a speedier update:
my wife commutes daily to NY Penn on the NEC from central NJ. so far during the construction period it has been uneventful and with only minor delay.
I pray it stays that way.
Honestly, from/to NJ, I'd say the commute has been much BETTER than prior to the work. The trains are a lot more likely to be on time, and are generally less crowded. My coworkers on Long Island would generally disagree with the statement, though.
Seems the only group disappointed is the media,nothing to gloom and doom about...this proves the MTA,AMTRAK ,and the PA can do it if they want to.....
