"HONGZ" stands for HO scale, N scale, G scale, and Z scale.

Post your non-O scale stuff here!

I'm having a hard time believing these prices from an old Hobbyline catalog circa 1955 :

0-4-0T loco  $0.98

0-4-0 switcher with tender  $1.49

2-8-4 Berkshire with tender  $1.98

Plastic kits. Where these actual operating models?  Maybe with rubber band drive?

I assembled all three back then.  Still have the Berk. I remember someone made a motorizing kit for the Berk but I don't remember one for the switchers.  They would roll sort of, if you were careful,  but they didn't like to.  They were good looking when finished.

Would be real interested to see a photo !

Here is mine. I brush painted it, had problems with the tender decals. The cab was decal died with some Airfix decals I had on hand. Added a tender light (oversized) with some old hot wheels wheels. Painted the cab Windows white. Smoke box is 1 part gloss black to 2 parts midnight blue to 3 parts silver (I think). I like the looks overall however.
