After buying a NS set during Walter's sale late last year, I began to wonder what other road names had been offered. (I came into Ready Made Trains late). These cars are great - longer than some other 027, rich colors, crisp graphics, excellent lighting and detailed interior. Show us shots of your Aristo/RMT passenger equipment.

I do not have any of the RMT versions, but I have a number of the original
versions of these cars, known as K-Line Streamliners. I have LIRR, NH, RI, UP, MoPac, & ATSF sets of these great cars. The first issues from the early 90's have window inserts, cars made from 1996 on have interior detailing.
In the one photo you'll see a comparison of the Streamliner cars next to a Lionel 2400 series car, and a Marx streamlined car. The Marx cars were made from stamped sheet metal.
Thanks KRA - nice cars. I didn't know that these had K-Line heritage. On the Rock Island, which color scheme is it? That Marx car was a beauty for the time, especially for the price.
I really like my RMT passenger cars. I only have the Dashing Dan version of the LIRR so far (grey with orange stripe), but I plan to get others since the detail and quality are really great. They also have diaphragms between the cars, detailed interiors, and are an inch longer than the Lionel or Williams streamliners.
Here's what would make them better, people. The cars come empty so you need to fill them up yourself. I think RMT sells some sitting people at a good price to populate the cars. Another improvement would be LED lighting, but that is pretty minor.
The cars look fantastic behind traditional sized O27 locomotives like my 2025 or a 2020. I think they would be too small for scale motive power though.

K-Line made a Rock Island Rocket set (one car pictured below), and cars decorated for the RI/PRR/SP Golden State. The 20th Century Cars (see below) are great as well.
Thanks again. They are really nice. What I have done with 027 passenger cars in some cases is to repaint Marx E7 diesels to match. They match up beautifully in size.
