Pass on all of them.
Holy smokes!!!!!!! I can't believe it! Penn Central paint on a gp-40. So if these are MTH molds.......MTH used to do the gp-40 in 2 rail. Will Atlas? I much prefer the 2 rail versions with fixed pilots and long hand rails. My guess is its too good to be true. Hats off to Atlas for carrying on MTH products, but how much more stuff can they keep promising when they can't seem to get product out. Where are those articulated auto racks that have been on preorder for what seems forever?
Great News!!
I am glad to see Atlas step up to provide competition in the O scale market. Lionel needs a reality check with their new prices. I hope Atlas success in their new product acquisition.
I am a big fan of the Trainman line of products, best value in O scale IMO
Offer me something I don't have.
Atlas needs to get creative.
It'a wonderful that Atlas is announcing all this stuff. Kudos to them!
HOWEVER....
I would dearly appreciate it if they would actually produce some of the stuff that has been announced in the past. Case in point: I'm STILL waiting on the GPs I ordered back in 2016! At the rate they are going, I'll be retired before they ship!
Slightly frustrated...

In case there are any custom run ideas the L&N had GP40s in the original gray scheme with the fancy herald on the cab sides. http://rrpicturearchives.net/s...ture.aspx?id=4814841

Might be an issue with that nose headlight.

Yeah, I forgot about the nose light. A problem that has cursed having L&N models right up until L&N/Family Lines ordered the SD50s that were delivered in Seaboard System paint but still with L&N style nose lights.
I need the Grand Trunk Western and BRITISH COLUMBIA RAILWAY flat cars.

I like the 50' double-door boxcars.
I wish I could get them all.

Well MTH DID make SD50’s with nose headlights, so that is possible is the future.
I would love to see L&N and CSX(ex L&N) SD40-2’s with nose mounted headlights.
Can someone explain the difference between the Master Line and Premier line? I saw some Master line locomotives for $299 (sounds more like Trainman)???

Atlas now has three lines.
Premier: Prior MTH tooling
Master: Their most detailed line
Trainman: Still scale but less detailed

I could live with L&N paint jobs without the nose lights if that is what it required to have a certain model. Here is a GP38-2 model without the nose light.

So far, Atlas hasn't offered any of the previously MTH items in 2 Rail.... if the engine came 3/2 the last time MTH made it, it will be 3/2 this time....

Could have been unpowered...

One of the benefits of the Atlas / MTH deal is Atlas ability to use the same factory MTH used. This gives them some predictability in their product deliveries. My understanding is their current supplier doesn't like doing O gauge products, so they keep slipping the schedule. This is just as frustrating for Atlas' management as it us for us hobbyists.
Question, will you be able to offer these products in TMCC also? I’m glad that Atlas now has the ability to manufacture MTH diesels, just hoping there will be choices, TMCC or DCS, Happy Railroading Everyone

They will not be making the Ex-MTH engines with TMCC.

That's a non-powered engine, from the Atlas O Master line. They put the "cover all" TMCC description in with all the engines. It was produced back in 2018.
Like some others mentoned, I'm disapponted Atlas O is only making the MTH retreads with DCS. It would be exciting if they could do them with TMCC as well, but perhaps their purchase agreement with MTH wouldn't allow it. As long as they're DCS only, I'll probably steer away.
I think it would be very interesting when Mr. Muffins offers one of the MTH Atlas O Offerrings if he would let us have a survey/choice of either TMCC Or DCS, I personally think his sales would Double, and after all is said and done, It’s all about the Money. Just an idea. Happy Railroading Everyone
Atlas would have to tool up an additional chassis to accept the TMCC boards. So, it's more than likely that ProtoSound 3.0 will remain in the Premier line.
Installing circuit boards does not require a change in the framework of the diesel.

So, you think the mounting holes for the PS3 boards can be used for ERR? I bet they can't.

This is the correct response
How long before they offer the LAKE STATE RAILWAY scheme on the GP40 diesel-electric locomotive?

Before all this new stuff Atlas, how about making the items ordered years ago? I have a set of GP-7's ordered in 2017 and a complete set of Amtrak Horizon cars ordered in 2019. I foolishly paid for the Horizon cars ($620.85), not sure why, but not the GP-7's. I honestly do not even want these products anymore, it has been so long ago. Unfortunately, my dealer will not give me a refund or even credit for the money I gave him over two years ago. I already asked twice.
Donald
Why not GP40-2's.Please.
3rail,
You need to get a new Atlas dealer and a lawyer.

Totally agree. Atlas needs to get caught up before promising/taking preorders for more stuff. I am also thinking the same for MTH. Every day we see more custom runs from MTH for preorders. What have they delivered lately. I would like to know where my sets of twinstacks are that were scheduled for March of 2021. Where's that "last" ever produced premier Big Boy with a signed certificate that was supposed to be here this month. I am 59 and am wondering if I will still be alive when some of my preorders are delivered. I have had friends who passed waiting on preorders. Dealer would not refund deposit to his wife.

They don’t have the molds for those. O scalers made it clear, that when it comes to diesels, close is “good enough”

(Uninformed Speculation™) : part (if not the entirety) of the reason Atlas is moving into MTH's production facility is that Atlas' current builder, as mentioned by MrMuffin above, "doesn't like doing O gauge products, so they keep slipping the schedule." So maybe the AtlasO tooling is to be moved into the MTH facility and they take care of the stuff the other builder kept procrastinating on. But until then, their Premier equipment production (as well as MTH's short-run production) serve to keep the MTH facility busy while AtlasO's previous products are disentangled their old builder.
Just guessing, of course...

(I am also awaiting the Big Boy, doublestack sets, all-door boxcars and a full 11-car ATSF passenger set. I wondering now if some completed production is held up in China waiting for a container, or a shipping slot without an astronomical fee, since that stuff was catalogued well before shipping rates went cuckoo)
Wouldn't say no to an O gauge HH600. Thought those would be coming right around the corner after they announced to HO version.
I’d love to see some modern 2 rail Master series locomotives.
