As far as paint goes, every color is out of a rattle can. I use three types, Krylon, Rustoleum 2x and regular Testors. This car actually has all three brands on. Lt. blue is Krylon, dk. blue is Rustoleum, and the silver top is Testors. Followed by a coat of Testors glosscoat.

Good news: the green paints arrived today, and I may do some test painting today. I’ll keep you posted as to what I used where.

Here’s the wet stuff, Lee. I think the Hunter green will be fine for the REA cab, and the Italian Olive will be fine for the Army Air Forces tanker. Any thoughts or alternatives?

Arnie looks like a good match up to me I really like that hunter green and the other will work very well for your OD. Go for it

Mike, it’s funny, I live only 18 miles from Scranton, and I ordered the paint to pickup from a big box store out there. They kept putting back the date of receipt, and said one was unavailable. I got online with the bay thing, and received them in a few days. Go figure.

We order most stuff online as the nearest big town is about 40 minutes away. But we do go once a week so I can search the goodwill for autos and anything else I can find for the train room!
