One my layout I' building an Army train to remind me of those crazy days.   I've got basically everything I need except for a Gamma Goat.   I would love to find a 1/48 -1/50 Goat to strap down on a flat car.   In fact 2 would be preferable.   I had one assigned to me back in the early 80's when I was in, so I have love/hate memories.   I don't build models, but if anyone one finds a couple nice looking ones, please hit me up!   Thx!

Mike, sorry you didn't sell the bus station, but happy to hear you'll be using it on the layout!  My station is a favorite of mine on the layout...I'll keep my eyes out for any deals on buses.  A while ago, I came across two Scenicruiser's on the big auction site and bid with you in mind.  I went in low and another bidder came in and bought both at asking price.

Like Ted, we all probably had nicknames as kids growing up in the '50's and 60's...in today's environment, such fun things in life are not PC!  For now, I'll keep my nickname between my wife and myself...lol

I'd like to see someone resurrect the Dimestore series.  I have several and think they were put there just so I could remember when there were many similar to them sold in Woolworths and other stores.  Usually about a nickel or ten cents.

I have a complete set of these, never used in their boxes. you are right, very nostalgic. One day I'll clean a spot to tak pics and post them here.

Okay so here's the latest addition. Like I really need more cars and trucks for what will eventually be my layout but for $1.98 at Wallmart I couldn't leave it there.IMG_0597IMG_0598IMG_0599IMG_0600It's a Maisto 1/43 2017 Chevy Colorado.  I bought more for the utility body than the 4x4 truck.  I thought I could use the body on another truck, but seeing as how it's a model of a Colorado I don't think it would work on any of my full size pick-ups.  I don't know if I'll detail the interior but I may throw some contractor tools and materials in the bed and on the rack.  I've still got the '53 Ford Crestline I need to spruce up.

Morning Guys, I hope you are all doing well!

Paul, very nice bus scene and it must be a busy day as I see all the bus parking is full! Thanks for keeping an eye out, I check around now and then, but I just don't want to spend an arm and leg for one! LOL

Joe, sweet I must have missed it , I walk down the toy isle every time we go. You never know what you are going to find!

Well guys I wish I has something for you today, but I don't. Maybe later!

I picked these Lionelville vehicle sets from the LCCA as they were originally issued... eventually they will find their way on to various spots on the layout. LCCA did a really nice job with these 1/43 “retro” vehicles. I wonder if they are planning any more sets (@GG1GUYY)???

Nice acquisition, those are way too cool! Thx for sharing them!

I really like these. I was able to get set three, and I'm on the lookout for 1 & 2. Question though. Isn't set 3 smaller, i.e. another scale? In your pics, the 1st 2 set appear to be more "1/43" than the third, in relation to the building pictured.

Now you’ve gone and done it, Jim!!! Based on your observation, I just went down and opened them all up again. Set #1 indicates on the three individual boxes and on the bottoms of each car that they are 1/43. Neither Set #2 nor Set #3 have any scale info on the boxes or cars. I guess I’ll have to be careful about their eventual placement on the layout so that they don’t look too out of place!!! Based on Set #1, I just assumed that all were 1/43 - maybe a wrong assumption.

I like that Mack R mixer

The mixer is nice, Lee. It is also the biggest of all three sets. I’ll have to consider adding a construction site to the layout eventually.
