You know I’m kidding Lee. That is exactly what I’m doing with my layout. I’m slowly replacing the Ertls, etc. One of these days I’m going to throw those cars up for sale, and keep the Dinky’s for the layout.

I think the mixer and Mack box truck look like the trucks Kline was selling, chrome wheels and all. Maybe the LCCA put out that set during the K-Line by Lionel period.

No, Joe... the LCCA issued these like 2017 - 2019, long after K-line. Of course, it is possible that they used a K-line example as a guide and possibly used the same company to produce them.

Frankly, neither did I, Lee. I opened the first set when it arrived, but the other two, I just put the boxes on the shelf and didn’t open till the other day to contribute to your wonderful thread!!!
I decided to compare the panel van from Set #2 with the REA van the LCCA put out a couple of years ago, and they are identical except for the decoration. On the bottom of the REA version there is a mark “No. 0143”. While not definitive, I think that may indicate that Set #2 is also 1/43.
The LCCA did an REA panel van that mirrors the panel van in the Lionelville Set #2...
And finally, an unmarked Menards entry - I got a fleet of these trucks when I purchased a few of their flatcars a few years ago. When compared to the REA van (which I am assuming is 1/43), it seems to be similarly sized.

Paul I didn't realize these LCCA sets were so recent, it seemed like the first set has been around much longer than 4 years. Maybe Lionel produced some similar vehicles to the ones in the first set and those are what I was thinking of.
Scored on a few diecast vehicles last weekend at the train show in Spokane. I really love the food truck, I think it'll fit in well on my Xmas village. I needed a hearse for my Halloween village so the GMC panel truck turned out good with a paint job and a small piece of wire for the scroll on the side. I thought the convertible Cadillac was cool because it actually had the top up. And no Halloween village is complete without Christine.

Artie, The wife and I went to Hobby Lobby yester day and seen the same tanker model for $19,I almost bought it to be a member of the tanker club, but wrong era and I have enough tankers right now!
Richie, well from the photo your spot on with the color and lucky you, I had a chance back when I was in the Corps, but it was sight unseen!
Nick R, Great score I have the same Cadillac on my layout and love it! It sure is nice to see more folks from Wa. on here!
Mike, (and anyone else interested), here’s the tanker and cab so far. It was a good day to paint outdoors, so I took advantage of it. I still have some tweaking to do on the tank’s paint, as I put on too heavy a coat on one side, and it will have to be finely sanded, but the cab is almost ready for decals. I also have some detail painting on the cab interior, air horns, lights, etc, and some on the tanker, too.

Mike, it’s a relatively easy kit to build, but some of the parts need filing and sanding. The tank is fairly straight-forward, but the cab parts require a little patience, and some fussy filing and sanding. I also recommend some good clamps and rubber bands, and weights to hold assemblies together while gluing. I tend to paint sub assemblies while building.
The older kits don’t include window glazing, but newer ones will say so on the box. The windshield is tricky to glue in, so some paint may need to be removed to glue them in. I recommend a liquid plastic like Tenax, or ACC.

I guess it’s official - I’ve jumped down the rabbit hole. Well... to be accurate, I’ve jumped down another rabbit hole. And to be brutally honest, I didn’t jump - I was pushed (that’s my story, and I’m sticking to it) 
Found another 1/43 NYC bus. This one is a Greyhound 1964-1965 World’s Fair version. They ran from around NYC to the Fair. If I remember correctly, one ran from the junction of Flatbush and Nostrand Avenues to the fair and Shea stadium - I always took the subway.
The current fleet...
Now I just need to keep an eye out for a Command Commuter bus (ran from Brooklyn to Manhattan), and an example of the older bus version from when I was very young. Some of my research indicates that they were know as 1956 Mack C-49 DT. The hunt goes on!!!

Artie your right it’s very tricky but if you mess up you could buy one from them direct or just tell them I’m sure they will send you another one
