@Quarter Gauger 48 posted:Are there any markings on the bottoms of them? Are they metal or plastic? They could be worth a few bucks to collectors, depending on the above questions.
They were made by Aurora back in the 60s there 1/64 scale I have some with the original boxes. They were made of plastic and they came as a glue together kit. They were targeted for the American Flyer “S” scale group
Lee,
Thank you for the info!!
I’m cleaning out stuff and would like to find a good home for them

Your welcome Pete. Don’t just give them away there worth at least $20.00 a piece the way they are in that condition but the one with the Excavator I would ask no less than $40 for it just saying
Any one have a goo source for Automobiles from the late 20's to 1941, other than fords, you can only have so many T's and A's

Lee, that bottom tank truck looks exactly like the 1/48 kit formerly by Revell, and that we know from our previous postings. (Although it doesn’t look as well detailed). Is it possible they scaled it up from the Aurora kit?

Yeah I always thought that but the other way around I always thought Aurora copied Revell Revell firs can put with there’s in 1955 it even builds like the old Revell one too but the wheels are horrible
Thanks for the clarification. It certainly doesn’t have the detail of the Revell/Atlantis kit.

Your welcome. Yes there kinda crude I never liked them always liked the Revell and now my new favorite is Atlantis because they added the window glass.
Artie, Outstanding picture! I am with Lee very life like! Wonderful job!
Thanks,Mike and Lee! Lee, the fire truck is that Ahrens-Fox that I posted awhile back on this thread. Made by Corgi. My dad drove one just like it for the Hoboken Fire Dept. in the mid-fifties.

Took me forever to find this thread. Does anyone have comments regarding Diecast Masters products? (1:50) I've bought a number of those recently and am blown away by the quality and detail. (I will try to get motivated and post photos of them.) I've noticed they're slowly making HO Scale variants available as well.
As for 1:43, I just can't handle the scale difference. It's too jarring to have those vehicles on my layout.

Thanks Artie. Great looking Jeep. Reminds me of the old sixties TV show Rat Patrol.

Yes, I have. But doesn’t Diecast Masters only make commercial trucks, earthmoving and mining models? I didn’t think they made 1:50 scale models of passenger automobiles.
I used to work for Caterpillar and got some of their earthmoving equipment towards the end of my employment when they took over the 1:50 scale diecast models from Norscot and Tonkin Replicas. I liked that Diecast Masters included an operator / driver model, clothed in Hi-Visibility outfits in the cab of the models they imported, even in models that were previously imported by Norscot.
These are just my opinion,
