Posted before, but I never get tired of looking at these two.

Hi guys, great photos of all your autos and trucks! I would add something, but haven't been in the train room for 2 weeks. Iam glad I took the time today to check in as I was getting way behind!

Richie. That Rig is Beautiful! That’s for building it just like Backie Skaggs Rig. I wish his son was still living to see this. I always enjoyed going to his house and seeing these 2 trucks he had. My favorite was Truck No.4 that was the one Blackies son drove. Thanks for sharing.
A family was driving over the mountains on holiday with a full load, luggage rack on the roof in this nice little VW beetle split window. Stopped by for service at the VW dealer as they said their radiator was boiling over on the mountain pass!!!
Picked up a couple of more VW's this nice one with the roof rack and Blue Yellow pickup. They had some really nice VW vans/busses but have enough, though was really tempted. https://www.yomacarmodel.ca/collections/volkswagen
Nice job on the matching trailer for the Mack Bulldog. I have one of these the IXO trucks are great very detailed great prices. Wish they offered some 1/43 trailers unpainted to match. Was hoping that MTH might put out some of their trailers as separate order items without the flat cars. Would be nice to get some white or silver trailers to decal or paint up to match the IXO trucks. The MTH 48 foot trailers are very close to the dimensions of the old AMT 1/43 model trailers.
Also when I built up my VW dealer and put together my VW car/truck fleet and then went to post them on this thread, I had no idea till I looked over the page that there had been some VW interest over the last few pages, a timely coincidence.

Great catch Mike. Your timing is impeccable.
Thanks, Lee - inspiration strikes every once in a while.
The gas station is busy this sunny Friday afternoon with folks tanking up for the weekend! The redheaded kid in the VW bus isn't happy with the wait and gestures to the gas station attendant, as his father stands by taking in the sights.
The long line extends over the "main line" where the surfer stands patiently by his old man's 1948 Chevrolet Fleetmaster "woody," with surf board on top. His surfer girl friend lifts the back window to reach for a cold one...by all accounts, a fun weekend is ahead at the shore

Stang, surprisingly every one seems to be waiting patiently, except the redheaded kid, and enjoying the sunshine even though the ocean is calling and good times are on hold. Nice townsfolk you've got there,
Thanks coach...great observation! The line is moving, but the "kid" is still showing his discontent. The "surf guy" made it across the tracks and is next in line behind the VW bus. The "Vette" guy has finished pumping his gas, but appears to be idling for no apparent reason, but knows the "Fleetmaster" can't make the turn into his pump lane, so he's taking his time...could he be hoping for a nod from the lady driving the red VW??

Paul. that light green 1953-1961 Mercedes "Coupe" is a rare find, as most were Sedans! I'll take a guess it's either a 190E or a 220SE. That body style is a rare find nowadays for the real deal, especially the Coupe and Convertible. When I was in High School, seems like eons ago, a good friends Mom had a 1959 220SE Convertible with a manual 4 speed column shifter. Brings back memories when his mom would let him take it for a spin!
Where did you find that, what looks like 1/43 scale, diecast Mercedes?
Great pictures with dialog by the way!

Scott, it's MB 220SE...I believe a '58? It's a 1/43 Vitesse diecast...should still be some around for sale at the usual "diecast" forum sponsors here...thanks for your comments!
Here's a couple of pics from the "Benz Rally" on North Main last summer sponsored by the local MB dealer. Notice three hardtops and two convertibles...nice looking units! There well be more summer rallies coming in July

Last summer, the big guy at Morrison Door was kind enough to sponsor an import rally for the local car buffs...he's expected to offer the lot several times this summer for special events... The TR6 and the AH 3000 took the ribbons this night...

Great cars everyone!
@Capetrainman You know Paul I think half the problem you have with all the traffic jams on your roads and at the gas station is all the Hot Young Ladies you have hanging around! Now you put an older lady with a cane and a nasty look on her face I bet things will start moving again! LOL
@trumpettrain Patrick great scene, it sure looks like something serious is happening there with the wheel loader! I don't know if its the reporters photo but it looks like the red box car to the left of the wheel loader is off the tracks! You might need something a little bigger! LOL
Well guys here is my offering today. The darn Santa Fe box truck was going threw town a little fast and rolled over, The fire department was on scene to check everyone out and do traffic control till the police showed up. Well they called for a wrecker and Santa Fe didn't want to spend the money so then send a yard tractor out to see if they could roll it back on its wheels and just tow it home with a chain! LOL

Well fellows, I am not near as good at setting up scenes as say trumptrain or some others but I thought I might post one or two just for fun.
Here is the Industrial section of town where the local freight line touches the main.
The main crossing at Small Town, RR tieing up traffic again!
Must be lunch time, everyone's hungry for McDonald's, even the racoons!
Officer Murphy (Small Towns entire police force) is having quite a time keeping lunch time traffic moving. He is trying to clear a path for the Fire Chief's '50 Mercury to get by...they are golf buddies on the weekend.
Best wishes, have fun
