I have a Piko 2-6-0 loco, picked up a Piko short passenger car and LGB short box car. So I saw TRAINWORLD had the Bachmann short passenger cars for $19.99 so I ordered one. It came quick and was a deal for the $20 but the colors were all molded in and a bit different than the cars I had. So I decided to re-work the car and upgrade it a little.
Stock out of the box shorty baggage car.....It comes aprt without and tools and is sturdy.
After apart I painted the floor box car brown. All those slots and holes will be hidden later.
I painted the inside a corral blue/green color like many caboose interiors. I then removed the markings from the outside and sprayed with Dupli-color #1699 sealer. I also paint the roof silver as the molded in sillver looked very toy like.
