Here was some of the things that make people cringe, money and how it affects there collection of trains. pics 2 and 3 are gauge 1, the steam engines price range from 2500 to 5000 depending on the model. Your price was a little bit too low, Tim.  You could have bought a Little Engines 4-6-2 for $5 or 10 thousand, 40 years ago.  That UP Challenger appears to be for sale at $135,000.

Pic 2 those Gauge 1 (G gauge) locos are the 2500 to 5000 dollars. Yeah the Challenger is 135 thousand, I remember the original owner/builder had it for 250k or some outrageous price
