Broadway Limited HO C&O L-1 (Yellow and Orange belly Hudsons)

Great scoop.  Didn't know that until now on the L-1.  We had a ton of orders on that.NYC hudson I was surprised as well.  I had a lot of orders but I guess thats because were from NYC!

Disappointing news regarding delivery which was supposed to be this month has now been pushed back til March 2017.

 

Also, what I thought was going to be very popular with the HO crowd, the New York Central Commodore Vanderbilt hudson has now been place on hold due to lack of orders.

I was kind of kicking myself for not ordering one of these but now I'm glad I didn't. This practice has become unacceptable to me. I no longer preorder items because this has become the modus operandi for a lot of manufacturers.

That's disappointing to hear about the Commodore. Was looking forward to an accurate model of that classic steamer. Lionel's model had a lot of potential but the paint wasn't correct and they didn't always run well. Later versions got the color close and I think the last one may have had a can motor but BLI's steamers operate very well. These would have had their new 'Rolling Thunder' feature that adds a powered sub-woofer to the layout that greatly enhances the sound.  Someone should develop a similar product for our O scale models...
