Hi
I am working on an IR sensor that runs on 5 VDC. I need to up it to 12 VDC can any suggest a step Buck transformer? Here is the relay that I am stepping up to 12 VDC.

Is the Relay coil need to operator 12 Volts. Yes ?
The IR senor operator on 5 Volt, is that's what your asking, Here ?
If so any 12 volt Relay would work.
The contacts on the relay would operator your IR sensor which is 5 volts then.
Note: the contact operators separate from the Relay coil.

Probably easier to just use a small 5V signal relay.

Quick technical question about this relay, can it handle AC track voltage via relay not the coil trigger? The coil trigger will be 5 VDC. I hope I used the right terminology.
It switches up to an amp at up to 150 VAC. If you need more current, just use it to activate a heavy-duty relay.
There are many other similar relays with higher current ratings, that was just the first one I found.
