Decided to watch a few more paint videos so I ran back to Micheals and got a few more things. Pis.........Paul

Not bad. But from the rear, you can clearly see that they are not the same car.
I want to explain something. I researched "M&M collectibles," and over the last twenty years, they are all variations of the same silly designs. You do not need to spend hundreds of dollars buying a twenty-year-old figure to add to your collection--wait until Christmas and they will produce a bunch of new ones that look the same.
This left-over from 2018 was reduced from $9 to $3.50. When you pull down the left arm, it fills the open box with M&M's. It will be a gaudy addition to my Christmas 2019 lay-out. Christmas collectibles? Yes. Hundreds of dollars for M&M collectibles? No.

Our friends at Wikipedia.org say:
'It is also believed that the inspiration for the name [Cruella de Vil] began in 1939 when Dodie Smith purchased a new Rolls-Royce 25/30 "Sedanca de Ville" motorcar in which she and her pet Dalmatian "Pongo" frequently travelled, which also formed the basis of the cartoon imagery of Cruella's own motorcar.'
But, as I've argued elsewhere, it is likely a typical Disney composite -- a little bit of this, a little bit of that, all to create the best "vehicle" to tell the story.
TRRR
I've always liked the Railgon livery and had a chance to pick this one up on eBay (for the soon-to-be scrap business). I bashed it a bit by installing MTH trucks which lowers the car for a more prototypic look.
In this pic you can see that the OEM car to the left rides too high especially when compared with the bashed car to the right.

Stumbled across this one on "the Bay" last week. It's from the 2011 OGR Tour of MTH. I'm going to have to do some actual work converting this car as it doesn't have Kadee mounts. I think I'm going to use the MTH scale-wheeled trucks as the car will ride lower.

Valid points, TRRR. I did research the Rolls-Royce 25/30, but it is clearly not the same car.

Pingman posted:My first order from the new owner of North Lima Train Works arrived today:
Big box, plenty of bubble wrap, and everything arrived safe and sound.
There was more stuff, but the UP "Plainfield" vista dome and the upper and lower level interiors for the full vista dome were the important items.
The "Plainfield" will be used in a Norther Pacific North Coast Limited train--the train lacked a vista dome because I didn't want the typical LIONEL centered vista dome and that was what was available all those years ago when I painted it. So this offset dome will fill the void.
The interior for the full dome will go into a Great Northern Empire Builder project. The aluminum, full dome car is a LIONEL TCA convention car using interior parts from other LIONEL domes that came with interiors--hence the parts order from NLTW.
Bottom line: My experience with NLTW could not have gone better--everything I ordered was carefully packed; promptly shipped; and, arrived complete and undamaged.
That is really cool!

Lew, nice looking gondola.
I'm pretty sure when I worked at BFF (Berwick Forge and Fabricating) in Berwick Pa. in early 80's, they made the original Railgon gondola's.
I just purchased an Acela set with the 3 car add on. I know, I figured you all might need a good laugh. I'm actually pretty excited about the new adventure.
Bryant, I’ve always like that set and I wish you the best with it. A few pics or a video of it once you get it set up would be great!!
I’ve been picking up quite a few things lately. Going to have to take it easy.
I got this Coaling Tower on EBAY to add to my layout
I stopped by Brady’s Train Outlet in Greensburg PA last week and picked up this bus.
I got this Weaver 50ft Flat Car with a 40ft trailer and a Lionel 50ft Flat Car with two pup trailers on eBay.

Dave, I'm glad you got to stop at Brady's and they had a bu for you! I think it is really cool! The two flat cars with trailers look great!!

The Bessemer coaches look great Terry!
Very nice Terry. Lynn did a good job.
Fedex dropped off this PW 282 Gantry Crane today:
From a bay-of-e merchant. To be affordable it was purchased as-is untested and without a controller. Motor&transmission are very clean including clutch and it functions fine! It does have the several-teeth-missing-from-the-swing-gear syndrome one sees from rough handing but I can get along with that because I don't need 360deg rotation.

My Dad was born in Berwick and grew up in Milton. My Uncle and cousin worked at ACF in Milton.

That’s beautiful!
Sinclair- That DDA40X is HUGE!! Wow! I thought for a moment that was a G scale model next to an HO scale! Wow! Beautiful!

Good looking Engine!

Excellent addition, Bob!!!!
I got a job 2 weeks ago and got my first paycheck yesterday, so I decided to treat myself for working my butt off for those 2 weeks. I bought this off Mario's Trains today. It should be here next week, most likely on Wednesday. Can't wait to try this out on my Legacy engine! I will post a video when I get around to that.
Congratulations Michael!!

Uhhhhhhhh... I personally don't like mentioning where I work in a public online area, since I work for a small company. But I'm working as an Electrical technician/assembler.
Keep in mind that I spent the course of 6 months applying to any job that fit my experience, before I got accepted to work with the company I am currently working with. So your experience with finding a job might be different from mine. Just do what I did and you will eventually get one.

The stars in the American flag have LED lights that glow. The car gets power from the track.
Just bought a Lionel NYC Hotbox Reefer set for a great deal on the for sale forum! Unopened with no signs of wear and tear before I tested these on the layout!

I just took delivery of this from da bay!

NS1975, I'm impressed!
Quiver me liver!
I saw a yard sale while walking my dog, and I found this for $2!
On the way home, I realized that it has two secret compartments, each with treasure inside.
When I got home, I discovered that it takes two AA batteries... For what?..
..I installed the batteries, and it played a jaunty pirate's tune.
Needs clean-up and some touch-up paint, as well as some more action figures.
