Got myself a ZW yesterday. I've been using my grandfather's RW since 2012 and about a year ago I picked up a backup. Should have plenty of power now!!!
This junk shop treasure will go into my 2019 Christmas train layout---somewhere.
I got two Lionel autoracks from a fellow forum member, but these are so long that I need to build more train shelves in my room. I guess this is a good problem to have.

Nice, Logan, but one minor correction - having to build more shelves is not a “problem”... it is an opportunity to expand your empire!!!

Lee, those would make a dynamite addition to anybody's antique car collection, as well as sharpening up any train lay-out.

Got a NYC Sunset/3rd Rail Mercury. Set it up and at first it did not run but I had lights, then I unplugged the tether and plugged it in again and it ran perfectly, now I am back to square one. Tried messing with the tether no help, lights nothing else. I know it works I just have to do some investigative work. I have it set up on a carpet layout with FT. I know some of the problem is the FT, but not all.
But its a beauty and heavy as heck!

I just got the book today. I have not had time to take more than a cursory look. It appears to be more history than mathematically technical.

I purchased the MTH plated Santa Fe cars for Christmas and they arrived today from @MrMuffin'sTrains. I got the 4 car set plus two more. I have yet to unpack them but will tomorrow. I am looking forward to running them with either the plated Atlas F units or the recent Lionel F units. Should make for a fun weekend. Yes, pictures and videos to follow.

The Great Train Show is in town this weekend, and I went yesterday. It was kinda smaller then I expected. But there were some neat things to see and have. I came home with a nice deal.
It's the MTH PS-1 version. Runs great, and it is huge!! Had to take a photo of it with my brother's N scale version when we got back to his house. It will get upgraded to DCC at some point, but since it has a BCR in it I'll run it as is for now.
These arrived in my mailbox recently.

Head’s up: Many dealers are clearing out LC+ engines, both steam and diesel right now. Some excellent deals to be had. I bit on three: Santa Fe RS-3, Western Pacific GP-9 and Great Northern Hudson.
