Two weeks ago I went to the Hamburg Pa. train meet. Didn't find anything I was looking for. Then I noticed this MTH proto 1 GG1. After a little price talking, I just couldn't walk away and leave it .
Yesterday @MrMuffin'sTrains blast included a picture of some Scenic Express MTH Premier special run cars to go with the tanks and ambulances. 2 items, both PUP, one medical supplies and one ordinance. The folks there were great to talk to, and look forward to the valentines present for my son.

John, Very nice story to read !! My Dad and Grandfather gave me my first Lionel set many decades ago, but I have never forgotten how special was that day . I still have my childhood set and run it from time to time.
Have an HO BLI Paragon 3 Rolling Thunder UP E9 coming tomorrow from FDT. Hopefully I will have my mains up and running by then so it can get pressed into service.
Picked up a real piece of junk K4. It is more or less ( a lot less) Scale Craft, such as frame drivers, cylinders siderods etc. At least part of the boiler is also SC, but when they cobbled the front half they did not taper and chose to butch the steamchest pipes instead. Surprisingly, it does have the SC casting used at the joint where the belpair starts though. Tender is just cobbled. I like it though...
Definitely a project Get's me back up to three since I am sending one of my other K4's to Daniel in France.
That looks pretty rough Dennis. Perfect project for you.
Are you done with the flood clean up?

Dennis, where do you find these gems?!?!?!? Seriously, maybe it's just a photographic artifact, but the rear end of that engine appears to be almost dragging the ground! Have you checked the trunk for any dead bodies?

Cleanup yes Ithink... didn’t lose anything really cept the carpet. So we’ll have to figure out how we want to go about the follow-up, complete remodel or partial etc. I guess that is a good thing, the decor if you will was probably 40 years old and so we eventually would have gotten around to this point anyway just not so soon lol. I don’t wish it on anyone for sure and I continue to feel lucky!
That speaker fits nicely. What are you using to generate the sounds?

I searched Es44ac notch 8, and played it on YouTube. This was done on my phone which is connected via Bluetooth to the speaker.
Thanks Logan. I had a feeling it was something along those lines. How far away will the speaker pick up the audio from your phone?
I recently pick up 3 brass freight cars. First one was a pregnant whale car by US Hobbies
Next was a U S Hobbies 40' Dbl-Dome Tank Car made in Japan
and the last one is my favorite. A Max Gray Heavy duty 16 wheel fish belly flat car
This K-Line by Lionel Milwaukee Road 21" Aluminum car arrived today from Trainz Auctions. Another one to convert to LED lighting. It should go well with the 18" cars that I have.
Bought these LIONEL SF ABA F units, set 6-11711, during the Stout Auction today:
I placed what I believed was a low ball bid; but, won. Don't know if I'll keep them or let them go.

I purchased this nice 1950(?) Lionel 2175W set yesterday. A friend keeps building his collection of postwar F3’s and I couldn’t be left out... I’m looking forward to getting a nice package in the mail in the near future.
They look great, Lee!
That K-Line is nice stuff
Lee, that is a really sharp looking crane. Yes, painted the way you plan will look even better!
