I think so ..just weasled out of having to cut and splice a couple of shorty RDC,s into a scale length RDC-3 (postal-baggage-combine), a one car train, long desired, by finding a MAC Shops highly elusive kit for an RDC-3 which l will mount on a lengthened shorty chassis. Of course, this is out of my modeled era, as a modern "gas electric".
At the Greenberg show in NJ on February 9th, I bought a LionMaster Western Pacific 4-6-6-4 Challenger #402. I had them ship it to me from Albany, because as usual I didn't have a car—I got there using the bus from the Port Authority Bus Terminal in NYC.
The Borough Hall station is only about 5 blocks from where I live. Obviously, I've never seen the tile work so clean.

How well do those subs actually work? I remember wanting one as a kid in the mid 90's when Lionel reissued them but I never got one.

I’ve been a fan of the subway tile work for many years. You’re right about the real-life shape they are in. I wish they would clean them and give them appropriate lighting.
Paul: When they redid my local station, Clark Street, they installed lighting that casts the top of the station walls in shadow, so you can't see the gorgeous mosaics as well as you used to. This stuff:

Clark Street is another of my favorite tiles (I was born and raised in Brooklyn - we never had a car until I was in High School, so always took the subway when we went downtown or to Manhattan). I can’t understand what the MTA is thinking at times. While they do such a disservice to century old classic tile work, they go and redo stations with rather striking new tiling like 28th Street in Manhattan (where I worked for 34 years)...
Lou, I wouldn't know about how well they "work". Never gave a thought to putting a 50 yr old collector quality sub in the water. Perhaps one of the more recent issued subs, if they work as the Post War do, would be more appropriate to find out. Have to admit when I look at our pool, the idea of radio controlled ships, and maybe, the Lionel sub, in the pool is interesting.

Picked up these Williams PRR PA-1. I really like the dark green / single stripe scheme even though I'm not sure if the PRR ever painted their PA-1's this way. Whatever, they look good to me. Already added LED lighting, cab figures, sound, serial wiring and power for the dummy unit.
I picked up this little K-Line switcher off e**y. First time ever bidding on an engine. I got the gondola at CoolTrains. It is a Williams Patapsco & Back Rivers.

FedEx brought this by on Friday. Weaver Pennsy M1 4-8-2 with extra long tender. Spent a few hours cleaning, charging the battery, re-seating boards and plugs and fixing loose brass details. Looks pretty good now and runs great. Has QSI sound system on board with working tender coupler. Lots of fun to run and man is that tender looooonnnnnnggggg! Will be adding the train phone system components and some other details in the next month or so just to make it that much better. I am also going to remove the "white wall" tire paint from the drivers, leading truck and trailing truck wheels. Don't much care for that.

HEy all! Been awhile- hence the long post. Slipped on black ice at work and had a head injury so it’s been a recovery. I have picked up some nice pieces in the meantime and was able to make it to the Allentown Spring thaw with my dad that last weekend, my first time I could go anywhere with that amount of people, lights, etc...anyway here’s what I’ve ontained in the meantime from the show, friends, and relatives. Post is long but just happy to be back in the board!
The RMT AEC I got somewhere else but I really like AEC pieces. The UN hummer is 1:43 scale, my layout has a humanitarian crises at the moment so it works well. The other figure I’ve shiwn before(k-line SWAT). The guy on the scooter i thought was cool and I liked the metal figure as well(make unknown- says stuff in the bottom and then Africa). Below that is my UN convoy in action with a Corgi 1:50 scale I got from my grandfather back when I was maybe 9 or 10. He might’ve passed 2 years ago but he keeps on giving and I feel I inherited a lot of skills and inspiration for my layout from him!
I losted this on the tinplage forum. Love me some toy soldiers, especially 19th century British soldiers. The Flyer observation car and caboose I got at spring thaw. Obs car 1207 goes with the 1205(also from my grandfather). Flyer caboose was very cheap so got that as well
Picked up these 3 cars for a good deal. Two are 1690 ‘Ives R.R.” Lines, the 1691 in Lionel Lines but they all match and I can change the coupler of the front car as needed to fit with my Ives 3250 electric.
Got mydad’s lionel type v transformer restored. Currently not using it on my layout but it will play a roleonce I expand. 
BElow is my father’s gang car, fixed it up myself and works great. Can’t wait to find use for it on my expansion.
Obtained these MTH Amtrak Railking coaches from a dear friend. They go very well with the AEM-7 I run on my mainline.
Finally, I got 2 I’d these “hedges” from my other grandfather who passed when I was about 2 years older. I saw them in Tom Snyder’s Lionel layout video and was wondering what they were used for? The picture below this one is for reference from said video.

RJ, Those are some nice items you got! I especially like the milk car! The photographs of some engines in the B&O Roundhouse are great! It has to be about 30 years since my wife and I were there because our oldest daughter wasn't born yet! How time flies!

I used to go to SeaWorld San Antonio a lot as a child (despite San Antonio having no relation or connection to the Ocean), and when I saw this car I was instantly reminded of all the cherished memories of visiting the park.
This is the Lionel #26853 Sea World Aquarium Car, one of the more creatively unique licensed freight cars I think Lionel has made even though its around a decade and 3 years old.

Thanks Mark- I've been on the fence about a RS-3 for a while because its designed for 031 minimum. Your old GP-7 makes it around OK so I don't see why the RS-3 wouldn't. Besides- I like RS-3's

I really like RS3s-a little large for my layout but maybe someday ?

I had not seen this. I loved Sea World too. Maybe more than Cedar Point. I got to feed meat to the gators and had hands on interaction with dolphin and orca a decade before I saw one in the Everglades or glimpsed the ocean's shore.
I got picked out from the crowd to take part in the Ohio shows a few times. I even knew to duck under splashes but not close to the tank, and avoid spit fountains (I was too distracted by the animals to have stage fright) They are warm and rubbery like a wet suit of leather. I thought the dolphin more scarry because of how fast they move. Like an big anxious dog's long snappy snout... don't forget about all those teeth right there kissing you
I always get picked at animal events. And always turned down Jungle Larry's and others . Oh, except the boas, I liked snakes (good eatin' too). As a kid, a relative was a Bozo stand in with ties as old as vaudville... I came to realise a while back I saw lot of back stages and met a lot of names at different times of my life.)
