One sharp looking MP15DC . Definitely worth the wait Pete.
I finally got my hands on an engine I have searching years for - MTH 30-1741-1 Commodore Hudson RailKing Cancer Awareness. Has a lot of meaning for me and I'm really happy I was able to get my hands on one.
I made an unboxing video:
Great buys everyone!! It’s great seeing others expanding their collections and sharing with all of us!
Here’s what I’ve been up to. It’s looking like Armed Forces week with my orders this week!
On Monday I received a package of 11 more Menards cars from the gentleman I’m purchasing the Menards collection from. Here’s photos from this shipment.
Here’s an overall photo of this order.
More to come! Stay tuned!

Rich, I especially like the Half Track and Tarp-covered load. They looked good on the Menards website, but they look even better in your photos.

A week and a half ago I received K-Line's 13.5" Fleet of Modernism 8-car passenger set. They're beautiful but the scale-sized Williams PRR F unit I have is too high for them. I didn't think I'd go with the Alco FA units that K-Line put out because the transverse-mounted motors in the trucks are not the best according to what I read on the Forum. @coach joe did suggest Alco FAs as a better fit although he may not have been thinking of K-Line, but the K-Line Alco FOM A A set was available Mint unopened at Trainz, and it fit my budget. So I just received them yesterday. My first K-line locos. Both units are powered and I think they look great. Plastic couplers, but separately applied grab irons, and the leading A unit has a tether to link the E unit of the trailing unit. One YouTube I saw said they are loud and that's true! They are growlers.

Thanks John! They’ll look even better once I get an area done with scenery and I take them out of their plastic clamshells for some nice photos. I received the army flat with two Jeeps yesterday and it’s one of my favorites now! I’ll post that later or you can see it now in My Layout Remodel.

I hope it's ok to post something that I didn't have to buy, it was free. It's a replica of Disney's Magic Kingdom Station. It has an announcement feature I hope to get working and install some lighting.

@boomer0622, Wow, free is the best it gets and as long as it’s new to you, it surely Qualifies. I love DisneyWorld in Orlando, and that’s a beautiful station and I bet the sounds are cool. Thanks for posting. @Johns Trains, that’s a beautiful K-Line PA set and I do miss K-Line…. I recently purchased an AC6000 Legacy CSX road diesel at a TCA Meet the 4th of February from a fine TCA Member. Pictures will follow next week. Happy Railroading Everyone
I bought these two cars separately on the bay for the purpose of salvaging the trucks for repairs to existing cars. Each one cost less than a pair of trucks just closed for on the bay.
My problem is that these two look to good to be donors. So I guess I’ll continue the hunt at shows for damaged cars with good trucks.

They are too nice to be donors. I love that caboose. Sorry for the dumb question, but are these 2-rail O Scale?

They are a good fit. I'm guessing that it's not prototypical, as far as those locomotives for these cars, and maybe not even this paint scheme. But they look good. I was worried that they might be real jackrabbits, but with my 1033 transformer they start out slow enough for me.

Those stations are going for $250+ for NIB ones on the bay. They claim they are HO scale but they are plenty big enough for O. How did you get one for free?

The only dumb question is the one that is not asked.
They are G scale.

I have one from Dan @ Distant Signal's recommendations years ago, and I love it. I didn't go with the chrome magnetic mount for my car, though!
If you live in NY, I have all the NY railroad programmed and in Uniden's freeware if you'd like.
Good luck!
Great buys and freebies everyone!
Continuing with what looks like my Armed Forces week, I received another package of 10 Menards cars from the gentleman I’m buying the collection from. Two of the cars are regular road names. Here’s the individual photos.
Here’s an overall photo of this shipment. My railroad is starting to look well protected LoL! I’m pleased yet again with everything!
FedEx will be here today with my order from the Menards store so stay tuned!

Picked up a few things from Menards. Trying to build out my military loads but just can't afford the MTH packs of flat cars with loads, I figure the Menards cars are close, but I do stay away from the tanks, they just don't look realistic.

@ArtsModelTrains I just got that Menards flat with the two Jeeps yesterday. It’s very nicely detailed IMO with the chains and everything.

I agree, I was really impressed with the quality of that two jeep flatcar, I'm already planning on grabbing 1 or 2 more the next time I order from Menards or maybe this weekend at Allentown spring thaw train show.
I've been buying LIONEL 15" UP offset vista dome cars for a year to use for various paint projects. Last week, I bought 3: 1 in a Trainz ebay auction, and 2 more in separate, but simultaneous auctions by the another seller -- a total of 7 purchases in the past year or so. And only if the price is ~$50 or less. I'm done for now.
What makes these cars special for my projects is they are the only (based on my admittedly limited product knowledge) 15" smooth-sided, offset vista dome, aluminum passenger cars.

I have that exact same set, boxes and all still in L/N condition. It is a really nice set. I've had mine since I was about 14.
John, while I didn't necessarily mean K-Line FAs, figuring most FAs would have a profile better suited to the height of the FOM passenger cars, I think scoring those K-Line FOM FAs makes for a pretty sweet looking train. Enjoy!
Just unboxed a new MTH Premier N&W GP-9. Will have to wait to run it since I'm determined to get my backdrops done BEFORE laying track.
Picked up these from @mike.caruso today. Turns out we live a few blocks from one another. Small world. Thanks Mike!

Too bad you have wait to run it sir.
It is a really nice looking locomotive in the tuscan color.
My Armed Forces week continues with the Menards order I received Thursday.
I grabbed the 4 piece Commemorative Military boxcar dealer pack, a pack of 2 PRR Ore cars, a PRR weathered graffiti boxcar, the Patriot Lighting Supply building since it was low inventory and my FOMO was activated LoL, and a Railway Express Agency flat with REA panel truck since I was receiving 5 FREE lighted REA pickup trucks with the deal Menards was having. Well so I thought. Only issue is I didn’t receive the REA trucks as listed and instead received 5 lighted pickup trucks in blue which sorta defeated the REA flatcar purchase. Trucks are still nice so I guess I’ll be buying a REA lighted truck in the future to fulfill my initial intentions. Here’s the individual photos of my purchases.

An un-expected Holy Grail, Almost (but not quite) too good to run. The only thing that would add to that would be a 1939 Ford convertible in Military Green. If I had one, I'd send it to you just to make the collection complete.

What’s one more bulldog for the kennel?
I was able to find, and detail, an Atlas 1605. She’s almost done… just need to add the number plate and ATS shoe.

Had a great time at the ATM meet in Allentown with friends yesterday. Did not buy anything of note there, but, on Friday, we stopped at Nicholas Smith and I bought this Post War beauty. Best paint I've seen in about 3 years of searching, runs great too:

Didn’t buy it but was at the train show and swap meet and one of the dealers wanted to know what this was.
They were attached to the underside of a post war gondola and a post war caboose. They didn’t have the shoes on them to activate the electrocouplers so I assume they are used to activate the couplers. I looked on the internet and the lionel support (?) page and found nothing.
Any one have anything that says what they are?

These were the covers over the 1948 "Electronic" set cars and tender. They housed the "Electronic" receivers that would activate functions as couplers or the swing dump "Dump" cars etc. You can see the words "electronic control receiver" on them.
Santa brought me that set Christmas 1948.

I like tank cars. I bought a NIB 19612 Gulf tank car on eBay, a reissue of the venerable 6425. I have several 6425s, but I really like this one since all the decals and detailing is nice, crisp, and colorful.
I also bought a 26943 UP Oil Die Cast Tank car from a fellow OGR member. It was essentially brand new with little/no run time. It is my first die-cast tank car and I was surprised at how heavy it is.
