Sorry no pictures as already packed for the move coming up this month. Anyway I bought a Lionel 6-18953 NYC PA-1 with TMCC and signal sounds, ( Has fixed couplers, which I might have to look into changing that ) and I also got the matching 6-18966 B-unit with TMCC, Railsounds, and Coil couplers. I stumbled across a good buy it now price on these on the bay. They appear to never been used as I do not see any wear on the wheels or middle pick-ups.
Very nice cars Chris! I always liked the wagon tops!
Thanks Mark, I always liked them too.... but until today, I just refused to pay the going market price. When my weathering skills get really effective and repeatable, I'll take a shot at weathering them.

Yes! I have one that I got for a good price. I may have gone overboard on the wagontop I 12 caboose, but I had the money at the time
Headed out early this morning to the Medina Ohio train show. Not a lot of new stuff but this time around because they also have toys I found a couple of vehicles for my layout and the price was right. Three dollars eack. And later this afternoon my K Line REA reefer from E*** landed on the door step. Didn't expect it on a Sunday. Pics.....Paul
Nice Weaver, CPowwell!!
Those are some nice acquisitions, Paul!!
Hi- My name is Bob and I'm a train-a-haulic......
Hi Bob!
Got a little carried away on the inter-web this weekend. Picked up some cool stuff though
I'm a BL-2 fan so the demonstrator paint job was a must have
who doesn't like a good flat car with a nice load
Been looking for a B-6 for a while. The fact it's PRR was a home run.
Bob

Hi Bob!
we WELCOME you Bob ! good luck with your recovery...
I have now recently been certified "INCURABLE"...
and now reside with my therapy pup "IZZY"...
Bob, No problem getting carried away with a BL2!! If I didn't like Western Maryland so much, I would have bought the demonstrator too!
The flat car and B-6 look great as well!!
Bob, is the BL2 demonstrator MTH or Williams?
I feel it needs to be said that all dogs are emotional support and therapy dogs. They make us feel better and give us something to look forward too. There is no better therapy than taking care of someone else.

Hi Bob. That's a big 10-4 on the BL-2.

Coach Joe- it's a MTH 20-2132-0
Ron- I have a Williams WM version too.

Bob, I do like the Western Maryland and thought about it but definitely did not want to ad another road to the roster. Thankfully Mark pointed me to the demonstrator. Got luckier that my dealer got it for me at a great MTH special offer price for the last few.
A little info about the BL 499 demonstrator, it was built 9/1947 as the only BL1. Was converted to a BL2 2/194 and later sold to the C&EI 12/1948.

Ron,
I'm glad you like the Demonstrator and got such a good deal to boot! I did not know that it was built as the only BL1. Often I wonder what happened to the numbers no one ever hears of.
I got an early Christmas present in the mail the other day.
These are two MTH Premier 36' White Pass and Yukon Route reefers from the Canadian Toy Train Association. These cars are the most detailed rolling stock I have ever owned. They look great behind my nearly complete White Pass Shovelnose.
The wife says they need to go back in their boxes and be wrapped and put under the tree. I'm going to see how long I can play with them before she remembers they exist.
Tom, it's been a while since you've posted any updates on the shovel-nose(s) and your other repaints. What do you have left to add. I remember one of the shells came damaged so the 3D printer beefed up the pilot and sent you another so you've been working on two.

Mark, somewhere I thought I found a where are they now. But cannot find it.
I did find my list of where they originally went.
Tom, The White Pass cars look great!! My Christmas gifts all go back in the box, get wrapped, and wait for Christmas too! Leave yours out as long as you can!
Ron, Thank you for the original list. Yes, if they were Mallets, you can bet it would be easy to find information when each was scrapped or preserved and where. Oh the life of the lowly ugly duckling, the BL2! Sad face

Joe is right! Have you made any progress?
Went to the OKC Train Show this past Sunday. Acquired some PW I had been looking for. The 2460 Grey cab 12 wheel crane car, a number 42 Picatinny Arsenal switcher... with box and insert... all in wonderful like new condition; another 6468 Tuscan B&O boxcar, with box; a 2422 and 2423 Grey roof 027 size passenger cars. And another 195 floodlight for yard illumination. Saw many friends, great conversations and congrats from all for being a streetcar operator on Oklahoma City's new streetcar system. A great day to be had by all......Jesse TCA
Cool is when a PW F3 repaint (my first) has lost its magnetraction and can barely pull itself and dummy B unit around a loop of track, but a magnet placed under the single motor truck restores its pulling power. Bought these on Amazon, placed one on the bottom of the single motor rear power truck using the included 3M adhesive disc, and ran it at top speed around an 042 loop with the B unit for about 20 minutes at which time I ended the test--perfect.

Mark, the rest of the question. I did find this.
Despite the few number built, there are actually more BL2s preserved than one might think. Additionally, at least four are still operational; Western Maryland #82 at the West Virginia Central, Monon #32 at the Kentucky Railway Museum, the Stourbridge Line in Pennsylvania operates Bangor & Aroostook (BAR) #54, and Saratoga & North Creek Railway operates BAR #52. Others preserved include WM #81 at the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad Museum, BAR #56 at the National Railroad Museum in Green Bay, and BAR #57 at the Cole Transportation Museum in Maine. A particular reason why so many of Bangor & Aroostook's BL2s are preserved is that the railroad continued operating them into the early 1980s.
Ron
Ron, That is an impressive percentage of the total manufacturered! Thank you!
Received my Pennsy A5 Lionchief Plus today. A short video of it in action along with my recently acquired Reading GP-7. Both from Marios Trains. Again, great service from him.

Very nice, Dan. Reading is gorgeous. Is the Pennsy A5 your 1st LionChief Plus? Arnold
I agree with Arnold, both look great, Dan! The A5 looks, sounds, and smokes great! I just had my conventional A5 out today. This one of yours is a winner!

Thanks Arnold. Frankly I had a B & O LC+ SW1 switcher a couple of years ago that I sold. I only had it for a short time. I was back and forth with LC and Conventional. This time I opted for the LC+ with Bluetooth. I'm happy I did. By the way, the GP-7 was my first purchase about a week ago. The A5 arrived today.
I was in a local antique store and noticed an old time steam engine with a fake pine branch around its base. It was pretty big-about Standard gauge size which piqued my interest plus has a crew of two mice(not real) Turns out it a train/music box marketed by ENESCO who has the Dept 56 line of buildings. This engine is made of a resin and powered with an AC adapter (missing). It moves and plays " I have been workin' on the railroad"..Googled the company's name and they have other similiar items. On the bottom is a small label saying it was imported in 2010 and on the website it is listed under "Collectibles". I have to find or order an AC adapter to see it this thing works. The site lists this at a pretty high value which I am skeptical about. Cute engine and will hopefully post a picture tomorrow. Anyone familiar with this engine ??
My father and I been buying a lot lately. Here’s the JLC Allegheny Be sure to check out the other videos for other new items and weekly updates and run byes

Enesco has had a lot of Christmas trains, some designs shared by other mfgs. A picture is a must.
