...as the bad guy said when he first saw Dirty Harry's gun: "that's a big one"...
The first time I went to the California State Railway Museum, I was struck by the shear size of the Espee Cab Forward...immense!

Coach, They are the premier MTH Amfleets.

Jack,
Askt them for a refund, ifnthey did not tell you it was missing the fe you may be able to get 20% back.
There was a knock on the door and it was Mr. Brown. My Vision Line Niagara came. Had to sign for it. Pics Paul
very NICE Paul
Very nice Paul- Guess that's not gonna be spotting cars at the Brewery
LOL, you are right Bob. Only because the curves are too sharp.............Paul
Did it have that nice new train smell?
Breathed a sigh of relief when I received in today's mail Microscale 48-370 Great Northern F and E unit cab diesel decal set. I've been looking for this particular item for several years, on and off, to paint a GN Empire Builder train, or at least an abbreviated version of it. Had the passenger decals, but needed this one for the F7 lead unit.
The sigh of relief was because I bought them from a forum member who, a couple of days later, texted me that he couldn't find them---WHAT, CAN'T FIND THEM??? Dedicated man that he is, he texted me a couple of days later when his continuing search was rewarded and he sent a photo of the decal package. So I did indeed breathe a sigh of relief to have them in hand.
I don't have the room for a prototypical GN EB, so I'll content myself with an F7 AB leading 6 passenger cars.
Nice engine there Paul! Now the big question, is it going in the Attic or Basement ?
Paul, Wow! That is a nice engine for sure!
Carl, I’m glad your search for the elusive decals was rewarded!
Mike, going to the attic. Basement curves are too small for it............Paul
It looks like it is Niagara season... picked this up from Grzyboski’s yesterday afternoon. Unfortunately, won’t get a chance to run her till after Thanksgiving. It is a beautiful model with some really nice applied details.

Paul, I don't think I ever saw the Attic layout, have you posted pictures of it before?
Mike, I did post pics of the attic layout a little while back......Paul
Thanks to a thread about Mario's Trains started today, I visited the website, saw that they sold the Gargraves track I wanted at an outstanding price with free delivery, AND 8% off Black Friday promotion, and bought what I needed. I'll now edit signature below and drop the WTB.
Apple55 Paul,
How did you manage doing that the same day Paul 2 got one! I see we are in great company with you two!! And my major purchase of the year was a used 44 Tonner! LOL

Matt, Good purchase!! If I didn’t already have a phase III set I would have grabbed one. I haven’t put the two sets side by side yet to see how they will look. I’m hoping they won’t look too weird on the same layout.
What power are you running with yours?

Thanks Paul, I will look for them when I get home.

Mike, I don't know how you missed it!! You must have been working at the store too much at that time.

That is a magnificent locomotive model; but, when I see it with the tender, my eyes go to the tender, more specifically the wheels. Reminds me of the old PRR Centipedes.
gunrunnerjohn posted:I had a chance to get a good deal on this piece, and I couldn't pass it up. I already have the Lionel Vision Line Big Boy, this is the MTH version from the 2017 Catalog. Now I have the before and after picture of the 4014, the VL is before, the MTH is the oil burner after the conversion. Too bad I can double-head them, but I think that's a non-starter with one being Legacy and the other DCS.
Since I don't have any benchwork yet, no place big enough to run this, but it looks and sounds great on the bench.
I’ve ran mth/Lionel lash ups, does just fine! Also my layout is big enough for that if you want it to get out and stretch its legs a little

I emailed them asking if they could somehow fix it but they said they didn’t have anything for it and then I got the shipping notification soon after that so I suppose I’ll just live with it. It’s a unique piece at least

Well Mark I don't know how I missed it either, but there are 3 possibilities, 1) I was working at the store to much! 2) I was working to much on getting the train room build ! 3) I was just lazy and sleeping! But I am going to look for them!
Yes indeed, Dan! I paid more for the Pittsburgh PCC car Protosound (PS1) earlier this year.
Couldn't resist this when I saw it on Kijiji, more for the cars, (which are rough) than the engine, but it runs well.
And this for around the xmas tree
Went out to get the paper this morning and sitting next to it was another package. My two car set from the Canadian club was waiting for me. For me it is starting to feel lke the twelve days of Christmas LOL. Pic...........Paul
Those White Pass and Yukon cars look great, Paul!
I wish I had ordered those WP&Y cars.
I bought something this afternoon that I did't need but was in very nice shape. Saw a very nice Lionel 2018 at the local antique mall about 2 weeks ago. The price wasn't real high but I have one(my first engine I bought myself in 1956) so it was part nostalgia. The dealer was there and gave me a nice price cut. Brought it home, runs great but needs cleaned and lubed. Passed on the old Lionel station, maybe later. Sort of rough with lots of surface rust.
I picked up this MTH item # 20-91106 Bangor & Aroostook (C-121) Extended Vision Caboose at the Greenberg Show in Wilmington MA last week (11/17-18) along with a Lionel Milwaukee Road SD-18 engine for $70 dollars both. I have been looking for this caboose for a long time, great buys last weekend at the show especially on Sunday.
I picked up a set of Premier Pennsy Passenger cars off of EBay Sunday! They delivered yesterday. Very well done set!
Couldn't pass this up when I saw it yesterday. Been busy cleaning the crud off of it this morning. Not sure what I am going to do with it but its very cool, (imo).

I definitely would have worn the wheels off of that if I had one as a kid. Very cool find. I would just clean it up enough to preserve the original paint.
