OK so it was Mr. FedEx, and they "claimed that we were closed and couldn't deliver". A phone call later the truck was turned around. Now I just need to get home from work and get them on the layout.

Yes.  Have always regretted selling our beautiful pair of Lionel E6s some years ago. Recently I acquired the non-powered A unit from here on the Forum and came across a MTH B unit on the bay. As the AT&SF mostly ran the E6 series as AB locomotives, this was a 'perfect alignment' of available units!

Will probably order a Sunset 3rd Rail powered B unit when available but for now, this nice pair will do fine for photos & display.

Very nice acquisitions, Sam.  They look great on the trestle!

I regretted selling my MTH Imperial N&W J 611, when I got an opportunity to buy a Premier version at a great price.  I thought I would be putting 072 curves in my new room.  However as we worked out the planning process this past winter, I took others' advice that the 072 loops would overpower the whole scenic effect of the small layout.  I traded the Premier for a couple smaller engines and freight cars.  Just a month ago a Imperial J 602 became available, with about as little run time as the one I sold.  I am glad to have the same locomotive back, save for the different number!  Yay!!!

Hey, my wife and I just took an excursion ride on the N&W J 611 last month from Greensboro, NC to Roanoke, VA.  Beautiful locomotive!

I'm becoming addicted to installing this stuff, and when money is short, I tear the TMCC guts out of used equipment and install it into something I prefer.   A Dash 9 recently gave up it's life to give CC to an ABA set of MTH F7's.

That's great Jeff!  I really liked the J ever since I saw it in Roanoke in the '80s.  Actually, I like all bullet nose streamlined steamers, but the N&W is my favorite!  I'm glad the 611 is under steam again!

Been going thru this and an awful lot of cool stuff.  I haven't posted in here awhile. Lot of train stuff but will save for another post as another large box from Trainz arrived.   But this not train related but still sooooooooo cool. Just a little to big for one of my flat cars

I know that sucker didn't come cheap! Is this among the new batch they sold off? For years, the only civilian-owned military Humvees were ex-USMC out of one auction at Albany, GA. I heard rumors another batch was going to be sold off.

I would say it's too bad we don't live near each other so we could take out military vehicles out for a spin, but you'd leave my 1944 Willys MB Jeep in the dust right away, as your can go highway speeds and mine would cause damage if it went over 45 MPH...

I still have a part of a tire from one of my Humvees, it came apart driving down a road on a FTX, on hardball road. Practically exploded and I'll never know why (thank goodness it was a runflat as we of course had no spare). I used it as a paperweight for years in the service and couldn't bring myself to throw it away for some reason...

They been auctioning them for about a couple of years now. I finely bit the bullet. Issue has been the SF 97s with the statement  of off road use only.  Finally  worked issue with licensing in Florida.  Less than ten but still not cheap.

This clock was a gift from my wife's step mother for Christmas. It came broken and I told her I was up for a challenge.

It's been sitting in pieces in a box for months. I finally got around to it the other day. I just had to solder a few wires back in place and now she's working like a champ. Every hour the clock makes steam engine sounds and the train goes around. When my kids hear it, they run to the kitchen to watch it. They love it!

I managed to get a JLC Y6B today. Bought it on Ebay and the seller hand delivered it to me since we live fairly close to each other(about 25-30 minutes away). Was my first Ebay purchase, great price, and Tom is a great guy. Ironically, I had bought from him earlier at one of the Greenberg show's the PT Tender to the Century Club Empire State Express. It wasn't until we were talking(about 20 minutes) what railroads we liked and NYC came up and I commented about the PT Tender. He said, "That was you? Small world".
