Sorry if this is a dumb question, but is there a way to change the sound file in a station sounds diner?   I'm want to add  the ATSF "The Chief" sound file -- which is in a big dome car that is wrong for the era I'm modeling -- into a second Empire Express diner (came out the same year) and change the outside signage to Santa Fe.   I know you can do that with MTH PS2/3 engines easily, but is there a similar feature for Lionel sound files?

Thanks!

And before you get the evil eye and a stern head shake you may want to repost this in the Lionel service of general section.  Just copy your original post and restart the thread.

I have already moved it.  Can't figure out how we get so many topics just automatically put into the 3-rail scale category.  This one is not even close.

The only way to change it is to swap the Railsounds board out for one that might be closer to what you are looking for. You might find one in another Santa Fe SS diner but I suspect odds are low given the popularity of SantaFe. I was able to replace a TMCC SF F3 RS board with one from a SF E8 for the better horn.

Sure.  I have the Lionel Legacy Santa Fe Station sounds diner SKU: 1927030.   It's a big dome lounge car and I would rather have that sound (for my "Chief" train) coming out of a single level Lionel diner like the Lionel Empire State Express diner SKU: SKU: 6-82890.   I was hoping I could just swap sound files and change the signage on the NYC diner...but it sounds like swapping files isn't possible.

Thanks for any thoughts!
