That train in the video looks familiar...like the ones that roll through Lake Villa on a daily basis. Sunday is great train watching day because there are no Metra commuter trains clogging up the rails. A lot of am traffic. Next Sunday I'll plan a fishing, beach and train watching day and get some good CN shots.

KJ, I have not seen any of them yet but will be watching for them. I still think about that Birthday party your family did for you with the Train food. That was really neat!

Hi Frank, That is a really cool video. That other train passing by must have been really a cool thing.
The closest thing I have done anywhere like that was when I was working and on a trip on a corp Jet at about 45k feet we passed a B-52 going the opposite direction and it was very quick with closing rate of 1000 MPH+. When I first saw the Buff I was really seeing the black smoke before I could really see him but then WHIZZZZZ and it was gone.

I heard a rumbling. So I scooted over for some shots of these 3 brutes idling. 3 dfferent engines, the middle said SD70. I am getting some diesel spotters guides so I can identify engine types. These all look the same to me- Beautiful!

I just got some shots of a Red, White & Blue BC Rail heading up a train highballing through town. I heard a train coming so I was waiting in the station parking lot with my camera and coffee. But when I got home I realized the sim card was still in the computer, not my camera. Geez...

Dominic I think the peopel at CN today say HUNTER WHO. Since he has retired and made a bid to run CP Rail, I don't think he is loved anymore at CN 
Well, CP's Beaver musrt be pounding its tail, for Hunter is now CEO of CP. Checked CP's website last night.
It will be intresting to see how Hunter and CN clash over the next few years. I bet he robs a few key people from CN next year.
I just thought I'd mention Trainz.com just started an auction with a bunch of Lionel CN & CP freight cars & TMCC engines for sale. A lot of colorful grain hoppers etc

Lionel will someday make the CN and GTW PS 60' Box Cars.
What needs to be mass produced are 86' Box Cars so that CN and GTW versions can be offered.

Andrew, I watched a CN freight go through town yesterday and it was 125 cars long. It had only 5 box cars. It was Grain cars, Tankers, Auto carriers,Center I beam cars and Intermodal. I was surprised at the low number of box cars.
There have been regular CN trains with CN and GTW 86' Box Cars in the front and Intermodal in the back .
