John,Pete,Nicole,   Hello    Just won't to say thank you for helping me solve the problem. The ground plane was not it.All my other engines worked fine. I attached the antenna to the hand rails and the ten foot dead section became a two foot dead section so I added another foot a wire to the antenna and BINGO, TRAIN HEVEN.        THANK,S

Steve,  That means the receiver on the R2LC is not as sensitive as "Normal" ones.  Don't remember your original post, but a swap of R2LC may improve performance.  Of course the extra wire has fixed it.  Sometime R2LC don't work as well at receiving as they should, or degrade overtime.  Small numbers, but it does happen.  G

Steve,  That is what I really enjoy about this forum, if I have a problem there is most likely one of these folks that can help get it worked out. As Nicole said have fun with the trains.
