Did you use my link? It just worked for me.
Thanks Barry!
Ahh sugar,...
with net or w/o net???
Got it, Thanks Barry.
Joe,
with net or w/o net???
If you have Loader Program 2.30 already installed and working, you already have .NET installed and you need not download it again.
Thank you!
(I have no memory)
Do we have to uninstall 2.30?
How do we do that?

Yes.

In Windows: Click START, Control Panels, and select "Add & Remove Programs" (or whatever your flavor of Windows has available).
Barry, any idea when the dealer loader will be up?
Nope.
Quick and easy, after I uninstalled the old one! Thanks Barry
Awesome! Thanks Barry.
Thanks Barry for the heads up. Downloaded and installed.
After uninstalling old loader program, and uploading the new 2.34 ver.
The installing program stops with the message:
"Key not valid for use in specified state"
What is the work around?
Paul,
What is the work around?
I haven't a clue. Sounds like a Windows environment issue.

Sounds like a Windows MSI error. Uninstall the program. Then do two things.....
1. Download the program again to be sure it is not corrupt.
2. Once downloaded, move the installation file to another location, such as your desktop BEFORE attempting to run/install it. And if you are running Windows 7, you might want to right click on the installation file and select "Run As Administrator".
Barry, I see there are no choices for 32 bit or 64 bit system. Does it matter?
Steve,
I don't believe that there is any difference.
Thanks Barry. Joe
For those who are MTH techs, the Service Loader Program 2.34 is also posted in the usual place (the MTH technician's forum).
Excellent!

Once you login to the technician site, there's a link on the bottom of the page that takes you to the downloads of the service manual chapters and also the dealer loader.
John,
Thanks!
I did forget to note that you have to have the extra password for that area that you get from Jeff Strank at MTH.
Hi Barry,
Trying to download the downloader program. Found it and have completed. However once I connect my tiu to my Win 7 PC and go to options to find tiu port is says that Com 3 and Com 4 drivers are not there so it will not let me go any further. Any suggestions??
Thanks,
Dan
Dan,
Are you using a USB to Serial cable? If so, have you downloaded its required driver software, if any?
Also, did you download and install the .NET software with the loader program?
Dan,
Thanks so much for your help!!!!!
You're very welcome!
If you don't already have a copy, I'd suggest purchasing The DCS O Gauge Companion 2nd Edition, as an eBook or print book. Both are available by clicking here.
The book is full of stuff you would have a hard time finding anywhere else.
Barry, I downloaded the latest Loader today to my Win7 large HP laptop, then the latest DCS files. When unzipping the 3 files, repeatedly unzipped to desktop or to My MTH Files folder in Loader, and every time the files failed to appear in the expected folder. WinZip still had zipped download, but unzipping stayed impossible. I have .net framework 4.0, so did not need to update that. Took download without .net version update. I'm reading your Companion book sitting here now (repeatedly!) and still stuck.
Thoughts?
Open the incoming archive in WinZip (or any other ZIP utility) and drag-n-drop them to the desired folder.
Have done this and other usual maneuvers; shows up still "zipped" and loops back in same way. Have WinZip 1635 Pro 64 bit ("10095") which could stand updating, but suspect that's not the problem. (Will do anyway when I get the needed link). Anyone encountered this?
Correction for typo above: WinZip 16.5 Pro 64 bit.
I just downloaded the loader file: DCS Loader V2.3.4b 64-bit.exe
I opened the file in 7-ZIP (a free Zip utility) and dragged the two to a work folder. No errors were encountered and the files appeared in the folder properly.
There doesn't seem to be anything wrong with the files at MTH.
Maybe deleting your present files and re-downloading? (Starting over) Something could have been corrupted in the download process?
Or maybe a Windows security (User Access or whatever it is) problem? I have no idea how to fix this one, but it has bitten me once, trying to move files over our home network.
Try doing a Windows search for MTH DCS Consumer Loader V2.3.4.msi, maybe it's being unzipped to a temp folder and not where you expect it to appaer.
All,
Tried 7-zip, for whatever reason couldn't get file dragged/dropped to unzip. So bought WinZip 19 upgrade, re-downloaded DCS 4.30, and it unzipped just like that. Must have been some incompatibility with WinZip 16.5. Thanks for all the effort to help!
