So many things going wrong today... yesterday this engine ran fine (MTH SD-24 with PS2). Later that day I took everything off the table and installed fake grass carpet. Put all the track back on and ran my sd80 for awhile then decided to use this engine and nope nothing happens. I deleted it off dcs then ran it in conv. and did a factory restart on it. But on DCS it just says engine not on track. I also tried to recover it with no success. The battery isn’t dead either. When i give the track power while hooked up with DCS, something in the engine “clicks” but no lights or sounds come on. Runs fine in conv. though

How strong is the track signal test? The PS2 engine should click at power up and stay dark and silent until called to start.
I'd like to help. I just had my G scale Big Boy do this and the remote would only say engine not on track. Funny, for some reason I tried the phone, and the app found the engine right away. Sometimes I can't help but wonder if there's software bugs coming into play.
I tested the signal on my Y3 and it’s 10/10
is your Y3 ps2 or ps3?
If PS3 could you have the track power wires reversed? (any PS2 won't work but PS3 will)
Is the TIU an older model? bulbs or filters attached?
I have no idea how or why but I switched the track wires around and that worked... thank you!!!
