Papa,  Did a quick search (Google) and it is a JEP 47-7 Station (Jouets de Paris) made in Prewar.

I read Frenchtrains response, and now have to agree with him.  The JEP 47-4 looks very similar, but after looking at some of the details, the Charles Rossignol station shows "gingerbread type trim" at the ends of the eaves, plus the C.R. lithograph on the one side.  The JEP renditions don't have the "gingerbread scroll" on the roof, but they do look very similar.  Thanks Frenchtrains for clarifying what it is.

Steve,

Nice little station from France. The manufacturer name is specified on the side of the station C R for Charles Rossignol. It is not at all a JEP one, just similar in size.  C R toys production was very important and stays a long time 1870 to 1962, variety of toys but always tinplate, it could be compared to Marx Toys.

Your station has been produced a long time from the thirties to fifties.  Nice little piece.

Some documentation may be found here

but sorry it is in french....  Graeme also has a web page on CR products here

I have made a picture book with German, British and French (and some American) train accessories from my collection. The (minimal) text is in Dutch, but you could have a look at the pictures.
