Some of the faithful were out today documenting EVRR's longest excursion, about 14 miles to this wye, about 1/2 mile from track's end.
It could have been a little sunnier/warmer, but the way this spring has been here in the East, ya take what ya get.
There are still no leaves out, which allowed a few shots that are usually "tree-tunneled".
It was a fun afternoon.

Yes. Everett RR #11 was built in 1920 by Alco/Cooke Locomotive Works in good old Paterson, NJ as an export locomotive for Cuba. It was never shipped and sold to short line in Rhode Island. In 1937 #11 was sold to Bath & Hammondsport RR in NY and subsequently to the Everett RR in 2006 after being on the Middletown & New Jersey RR in NY state since 1981.

What was the operation at Everett, PA like? I heard it was 5 miles each way and used a former PRR branch. The old #11 is on display at the Everett station.

Wrong on both counts, it was less than 4 miles, and was the southern end of the Huntingdon & Broad Top, abandoned in 1954.
