Hello Everyone,

I'm here to brainstorm some ideas, get some thoughts, and eventually come to a conclusion and a final product. Time to think outside the boxoffice on this one.

I recently purchased a dozen 35MM Film Trailers from someone helping liquidate a theaters stock. Most of them are horror movies from the 2000-2009 era. Each one is at minimum 90' feet long so I have an abundance of film. I'm not really sure what to do with them, so I figured what the heck, why not combine two of my favorite things trains and scary movies.

So, I took apart a spare madison car I had and It looks like I could potentially use cells from the movies as window silhouettes, but that got me thinking what else I could use them for. I think I remember reading somewhere Lionels aquarium cars used 35MM film at one point?

Anyone have any ideas / input on this? If I go the passenger route Ill need to find a few really cheap cars that I can use / repaint, and a way to get steady/constant light.

The CP Holiday Train has a car that opens so performers on board can play to an audience. Maybe you could use a frame of film or two in a similar car. How about an old MPC Hi-Cube car or a postwar or a scale boxcar?

I think I saw a photo of that CP car in a recent Christmas thread here on the Forum.

35mm film seems a bit too wide for an Aquarium Car. 16mm film seems more likely. I think 16mm film was also used to move figures in "chase" gondolas.
