Floquil track weathering pens

Hi,

Has anyone on this forum used Floquil track weathering pens? Any pros or cons about this product. I had several member recommend I weather my track but I've already ballasted a large chunk of track so spraying paint is out of the question for me. So I found a mention of these weather pens in the weathering track thread and figured I would ask if members like these or not. Are there other options besides spraying on paing?

I used them on my Atlas track and like the results. They were easy to work with. Just remember to clean the top of your rails as you go.

I tried rust colored paint pens without much success even after double-coating. Eventually painted rail sides with acrylic using an artist's brush.

They work pretty well especially after you have glued down your ballast and spraying is not an option. The Eastwood Company used to make refillable paint pens that you could use over and over and even replace the tips.

The Rail Brown that I tried had a greenish shade, but maybe that's because of the flourescent lighting. Takes a couple of coats on Gargraves.

Well I think he got his from the same place I got mine, Lou Cross at Right O Way. Here are some pics...these are for code .148 rail.
