"HONGZ" stands for HO scale, N scale, G scale, and Z scale.

Post your non-O scale stuff here!

So I've been building this 53 Ford over the last few months and it's coming down to the wire with the last few details. I can't decide if I want to put the old flathead engine in the bed of the truck or put some pig's back there because it looks like an old farm truck even though I replaced the old worn out flathead with a new 409 power plant.

Which ever I end up doing I'll super detail it as always. If I use the pig's I'll dirty them up and put hay in the bed etc. The engine is pretty much done other than strapping it down to the pallet.

Once I get the load decided I can finish the mirrors, tailgate chains and running lights then I can put this puppy to bed 😀

What's your thoughts on the load?

I want the motor in the corner up against the bed. Leaned into the tire or on straw in the bed; like it's been there a while. Air cleaner cocked or off*, and the oil filter canister back in the engine compartment. ...Maybe an oil spill in the bed.  Maybe even the oil bath air cleaner on the new motor. Equipment wise, it's what I'd try to do in real life. Those are severe duty options in later years. 60% of my vehicles had oil bath air cleaners, 40% added oil filtering. If I got less than 100,000 on an engine it's because I sold it. I didn't baby daily performance either

Shiney flathead in the bed and weathered V8 in the hood would be an interesting twist for a late enough era.
