G scale pickup truck build - Give me your thoughts

Either load looks great, but yes, maybe those pigs look too clean and need some weathering?

I also like the looks of the fenders with the dents in them.

I really like the old flathead motor in the bed. But I would opt for a more modest after market motor upgrade and it too weathered.

What scale is the truck? 1:24?

  I want the motor in the corner up against the bed. Leaned into the tire or on straw in the bed; like it's been there a while. Air cleaner cocked or off*, and the oil filter canister back in the engine compartment. ...Maybe an oil spill in the bed.  Maybe even the oil bath air cleaner on the new motor. Equipment wise, it's what I'd try to do in real life. Those are severe duty options in later years. 60% of my vehicles had oil bath air cleaners, 40% added oil filtering. If I got less than 100,000 on an engine it's because I sold it. I didn't baby daily performance either

    Shiney flathead in the bed and weathered V8 in the hood would be an interesting twist for a late enough era.

I built this truck from a 1/25 scale AMT kit.

Whatever you finally decide to do, it will be FINE! Here's a thought: occasionally rotate the loads, and have the proverbial "best of both worlds"!  ☺
