A few nice angles for using this since you have some height. Place the car right behind your engine facing forward and also right in front of the caboose facing backwards.

Cool video Peter, I love the high vantage point looking over the locomotive.   How about at the end of the consist for the next video, you'll see the whole train.

 

Good idea Gunrunner. My thought would be to put it in front of a diesel and have a train running on the other loop in the opposite direction. Of course, it's easy to do both.

 

BTW, don't give up your day job quite yet Peter.

I will post a new video this week.....methinks the car bounces too much with the current modern era Burlington gondola. My solution: transfer the camera to an early PostWar New York Central 6462 black gondola......more plastic and metal trucks......translates to more weight and I hope a smoother ride.

Good idea Peter.  I have that same Burlington gondola.  One of the remaining MPC purchased I still have.  I use it when working on the layout.  

 

I think your correct about switching cars.  That car is very lightweight.  I think you might be right about the Post War NYC 6462.  It was built much better.  It's always been of my favorite Post War cars.  Lionel did an excellent job on that car.

 

Looking forward to your post, I will be interested to see how it works out. 

I think I'd consider a diecast gondola with sprung trucks.

 

Peter, you so need more weight, so John's solution sounds pretty good to me.

K-Line's die-cast scale 52' fishbelly gondola would be your best bet.  Heavy, and rolls as smooth as silk.
