Grand Central Station Update from Lionel

What does this station look like, and what is the approximate cost of it? Is this station anything like the big one that was about $2,000 a couple of years ago?

Eddie, Chicagoland Hobbies has it for about 240.00 unless you want to pay 20% over list elsewhere.

Not sure if this is the one being produced or if its a picture of the one from a few years back

100th Anniversary Grand Central Station

I feel bad for anyone who was expecting this as a Christmas present for under the tree. However I am sure it will be well worth the wait.

As I said in another thread regarding this subject, the larger original GCT offering from Lionel was delayed far longer than this smaller cousin and it was definitely worth the wait.

This is about 1/4 the size of the more expensive one. You can get a feel for the dimensions in the listing Chris posted. I saw it at York in the spring and it looks like it would work well with HO or N gauge. To me it is more of a commerative item to sit on your desk. 15" wide x 6" deep x 9" high.

hi volume of what?  How is this shipped?  Slow boat or air?  What kind of freight are we talking about here?  All lionel products or just the station?  give us some truths here lionel.
