A model mag identified it as a new product. Probably no hope Bachmann will offer this engine in O3r, but did l not see a thread on this App and possible application to O3r? Would really be nice if a kit was available to install an O gauge version in any brand loco.

I believe Bachmann has said if E-Z App does well in HO they will bring it to O gauge. I think it has even been available in HO for a while now?
Also, I believe it's a company called Blue Rail that is developing all this and I think they working on boards for O gauge as well. There have been some threads here on this somewhere and others are following more closely than I have been so I am sure I'm behind on the latest news. Blue Rail also has a website and they have posted youtube videos here on the forum, I think? If not they are on their website.
I think the EZ App trains are very promising, but I don't like that the sound comes from the device (phone, ipad, etc.) and not the loco. Once they fix that, I will definitely buy a couple.
You can put a cheap Bluetooth speaker in a box car, but I want the sounds from the engine.
Sound from the device doesn't sound too good to me either, I agree it should come from the engine.
