I’ve decided to start to post updates of my layout from January 2018 to now. I will start with a picture from when I was just planning my layout and move forward. You will notice how my Yard track plan has changed throughout the past months after deciding what buildings would be used on the layout. Sorry for the lack of image quality, I have used my phone for most photos.76AC9853-CA02-4322-884B-577E87DBB4C6B07EDA6C-577D-46A7-BAC7-4612A435C8966CA77385-A10B-48FC-B564-92D9C939DEAC8690F68C-BDAC-4A66-A776-4016E994D2EC9A9F7C88-FC1A-4E0C-8217-952CF537AE3C0D7706C9-0C7B-4DD2-91F3-81D58F56D2CD5B9CE582-B93F-486E-AC09-3243714429D391733DF4-619B-4C22-BDFE-C4C80A87F93B

Haven’t updated this in a while, so here is my latest update. Today, I rebuilt 11 old freight cars that were either shelf queens or in my parts bin in an effort to construct a steam era train for my NW 2-8-0 and PRR J. Also reweighted a PRR caboose to the NMRA weight of roughly four inches. It used to be half an ounce.CEE79584-6399-4DCA-8510-6D2C88247BEA1A93A299-395E-4DD1-917A-A3E67659FEF8FA1AFF80-594E-4F9F-AA18-8B31DF0BAC827CDB4A8D-95B4-464B-BB01-3E89F8B3B52C87678A8F-1F29-4D84-A7AA-4AEB562A5296

As many of you may know, I have been rebuilding the yard on our layout. So far, I have started to pave service roads for the yard and started to ballast. Next step is to finish adding lights and accessories to the layout. Side note, don’t leave the train room door open when spackel is wet, or you will end up with little paw prints in your road! Ended up sanding a lot off to get rid of them!F2D0D18B-0F4D-45AB-904E-8CAB0DCD6DAEF62740E6-27BE-4AE7-BCAD-F1F0CFAAC695And of course, I had a little helper.
