I have had an older Bachmann GP40 from a set lying around and have decided to convert it into an NS RP-E4C slug to run with either my SD40-2 or my SP GP38-2. The main modifications made to the unit were cutting off the 3 fans in the back of the unit, covering the holes with styrene, sanding, and painting/decaling. From my knowledge this is one of the first times this has been done in HO. (I could be wrong) This unit started life as BNSF 3001 and had a failed attempt to make it NS 4660.

Does anyone know of a good spray paint to use for Norfolk Southern Black? If not, what sheen should I use?
