Pretty neat, Rusty! Thank you for posting!
O SCALE trains are scale models too as are S gauge and N gauge.
Very true, Jim. I took it that Rusty wanted everyone to know the video was HO and not O since this is the O Gauge Railroading Forum. For anyone like me who usually just picks topics from the right sidebar not knowing what particular category it is under, it was good to know the video was HO.

Exactly, had I posted this in the any of the other sub-forums, some folks probably would have got their tidy-whities in a knot and flagged it to be moved to the HONGZ forum anyway.
Still, the process pretty much applies to all the manufactures across the scales. One thing I know for sure, I wouldn't be able to sit there for 40 hours a week doing all that repetitive work building model trains.

Rusty, I agree, all manufacturers in all scales use similar processes. That is why I found it interesting, but as you say tedious for the employee.
It reminds me of one job offer I received out of college in 1976. I earned what would be referred to as an Electronics Engineering Technology degree today. Three of us candidates were taken on a tour of the factory of a major company that makes commercial electronic devices. We saw people working in the job we were interviewing for. It was repair of circuit boards. This was in the days of all discrete components that could be easily tested and unsoldered and good components soldered back in with a simple soldering iron like we hobbyists use. They explained each employee would work on the same board and become 'experts' on that board. We would be given so much time to repair the board, then the ones that still weren't repairable would be tossed aside for recycling. I turned down the offer thinking it would be such a boring job. Sorry to ramble, but building these model engines would be even more boring after a short time.
Scaletrains has raised the bar. These are Brass Quality models in Plastic. This is the first time I've seen a manufacturer giving so much attention to motors, most are just off the shelf motors.
I watched this yesterday and was very impressed. HO and N guys have a very great product with this one.
