IT's TEAM TRACK TUESDAY!!! Share your team track photos here!
Team tracks play a vital role in the day to day operations of real railroads. As the prototype team track changes sometimes as frequently as every day or as little as once or twice a month, team tracks provide the modeler with an opportunity to change their team track scene, as frequently as desired. Even after layouts are pretty much completed ( and yes a layout is really never really completed ) changing team track scenes can provide the modeler with fresh creative challenges on a regular basis. It's a great way to change a small part our layouts thus keeping the layout fresh and a way to keep the creative juices flowing.
I was surprised to discover that Mark Dif has a team track diorama which he creatively changes each week. A diorama does not take up much space at all. Even if you don't have enough space for a layout why not start a team track diorama? You can have big fun creating a team track scenes and photographing the scene each week. Just some of my thinking out loud.
This week on the Free State Junction Railroad's team track one in lower Patsburg, a semi - truck has brought a load of large logs from the timber lands. A 0-8-0 switcher was dispatched to bring BIG HOOKER to the site for some heavy lifting. The crew is busy tightening up the chains on the already loaded flat car. The local switch job will be at the team track around 4 pm and get the car load of logs on their way to the saw mill.
Meanwhile, spotted a little further up the team track is a Western Maryland 4 wheel caboose whose crew is on a layover. Two crew members chat it up to pass the time.
Lets see your team track photos! Prototypical team track photos are always welcome too!
Have a wonderfully fun and creative week everyone! See ya next week on the TEAM TRACK!!
