I have a Legacy Santa Fe 4-8-4 6-11333 and it recently developed a problem.

It will start and run normally but, after a few minutes the sound stops. If I press the "Reset" key on the Legacy remote, the sound resumes.

I noticed that occasionally there is a small "spark" at the tether connection.

Have any other forumites found this and can give me any suggestions on what might cause this and how i can cure the problem?

Thanks

Thanks for all your helpful suggestions.

It seems that back-to-back switches caused both tender power collectors to be off the center rail simultaneously.

I removed the shell and checked the tender for loose/frayed wires but found nothing amiss.

While the shell was off, I installed a 9v battery and when I re-assembled and tested - problem solved!

Looks like you nailed it Nicole!
