Ok so maybe it is not as profound as all that, but I have began the lighting part of my layout room in the basement!!!!!  2 years ago we solved the water issues with a new french drain and sump pimp, (Average 38% humidity) and the began ripping out old paneling and the ceiling.

Today we started installing cans in the ceiling with the intentions of using LED lighting. I am thinkng about using WIFI LED's which allow for all sorts of color and light levels. (More later when I get more info)

So I have 2 zones, the middle and perimeter of the room.   Two separate dimmers.  1 for the center of the room, one for the perimeter, both rated for LED's.

I am installing glass block windows (2 with drier vents. one for the drier one for an exhaust system for the smoke.

I just won the blueprints for the Reading Company Green street engine facility and will soon be showing the bi-level plans for the layout..

Let the fun begin!

Mike would you fill in the missing info.  Did you actually get blueprints for the original facility, which truly did exist???  Winning is an interesting sidebar like in "How did you win?"  But I am more than intrigued about how and if you obtained the blueprints.

On subject, I also installed LED lights and really like their color, longevity and low power consumption.  I did not get the wifi multi color units.

Mike, I just looked up that listing on eBay.  Truly a WOW.  How interesting.  All the details of The Reading Green Street layout.  How interesting that will be to study.  Talk about the ability to render something close to an original layout.  I think I am going to research this more.  I would have to believe many museums have these original documents.  Fascinating and thanks for posting....
