I modified my LGB Genesis trucks and was never happy with how they pulled. I got my hands on some MTH 1 gauge trucks and instead of building more engines, I decided to fix up what I already have. I put a set of Dash 8 trucks under the Genesis and now she pulls great! ( I still have to add the front coupler and snowplow)
I won't have to have a helper on my passenger trains now. I still went ahead and modified my 1 gauge F40PH with a set of MTH trucks from a F series. The stock NWSL trucks didn't pull well either. A rear worm gear kept slipping off the shaft. It's funny because I didn't touch that gear and I did remove and replace the other side's worm to add a flywheel. That side works fine.
