Lionel #133 freight station for use with G scale layout
Scale dimensions for the #133 freight station:
Upon close examination this model appears to be out of scale when placed near O scale model vehicles and O scale figures.
Notice the photo showing a 1:43 scale vehicle and 1:48 scale figures.
For example the door has a scale width of 48 inches. The height of the door is 8 scale feet. The handle height is 48 inches. Also the step height on the structure is nearly 12 scale inches. The station bench also appears too large for 1:48 scale. These dimensions do not match a structure appropriately scaled to exact 1:48 scale based on prototype building specifications.
A review of these scale dimensions indicates that this Lionel model is most nearly a 1:36 scale structure. The structure could be used with G scale model railroads layouts or a diorama.
