Lionel 2015 Volume 2 - Pre-orders are due by Friday - no deposit required

Boy, now that the dust has cleared, I don't think our pricing is competitive..... So, I revised our pricing DOWN..... I am counting on lots of orders so that our inbound shipping doesn't eat us up..... Lionel doesn't sell to us direct - so the margins get pretty thin...... Anyway, we don't want price to be a deterrent if you would like to order from us Muffins.

Looks like Pat says the Heislers need to be priced ten dollars lower than we have them. So, I'm going in and changing our prices down to $1029.96. If you already ordered from us, you'll get the reduced price too.

yeah, as the pickers say, not much meat left on the bone. Dealers practically have to give stuff away to be competitive.

What's the pre order deadline?  I want to get 2 60E engines, but was waiting to see if MTH was doing them correctly ( my roster is 99% MTH). If they don't I was planning on getting the Lionel ones

Unfortunately, their window closes before the MTH's catalog comes out..... Order them if you like and then cancel if you need to....

Steve don't forget the important part, you don't require a down payment for preorders!!!!  Other dealers charge 10% down payment for pre orders.

Pat says the UP 4-8-4's need to be priced $15 lower - so we dropped our prices to match..... See above and on our website.... If you already ordered from us - thanks - and you'll get the new price....

 

 

Your foolish for not taking a deposit today because anyone can just walk away from any order at least taking a deposit means you have something to protect yourself if they cancel and you get stuck with something harder to sell and also for us customers leaving a deposit is nice because it is less to pay when the item comes in.

I am sure if someone walks away from a pre order, someone else will be willing to buy it for more. I had to do that with a Lionel #6-81228 Chesapeake & Ohio LEGACY Scale E8 Diesel AA Set, that was pre order, I ended up paying full retail.

The only locomotive that would be close to what I am looking for is the Duluth, Missabe & Iron Range SD38. I was planning to get a SOO LINE SD40 in the 1970 scheme when they announce it.

When are the GP9's scheduled to ship?

Knowing my Luck, the Conrail and PRR gp's will arrive at the same time!

 

I hope that Lionel does these GP9's right with NO Steam Generator Detail AND THE CORRECT DLGE PAINT! the PRR did NOT have any GP9's with Steam Generators.
