"HONGZ" stands for HO scale, N scale, G scale, and Z scale.

Post your non-O scale stuff here!

Was out of the hobby when Lionel and Mike had their lawsuits and settlement. I gather that the legal troubles were partially responsible for Lionel's shut down of their HO plans but did MTH take over the tooling for the Challengers & Bigboys?   Are the MTH HO locomotives revamped Lionel models?

Read somewhere that the MTH Alco PA's were originally Broadway Limited units as were the F units. Did MTH design any of their own engines?

The termination of the HO program was not related.

The only two Lionel HO models produced were the Challengers and two runs of the "Veranda" Turbine.

I understand that tooling for both of these locomotives was transferred to MTH as a partial settlement towards the legal judgment.
