I bought this "like new" Budd engine on E-bay. After it runs the oval for several minutes pulling 5 cars, it starts slowing down as it approaches the power source (275w ZW) and eventually stops after several more loops. It rebounds after a few hours. Other engines work fine. I oiled the Pullmore motor armature as suggested in the manual with no improvement. Does anyone have a suggestion?

What kind of oil did you use? You know this thing runs on jet fuel.

Sounds like the armature is either binding or not aligned. Either way I would have it looked at since it will only get worse and overheating the newer pullmor motors is not a good idea.

Sometimes oily brushes will cause an engine to exhibit those symptoms.
