lionel parts site down

I guess I will have to order in the middles of the night again.
Hunting down parts
I guess we all have figure out that you are talking about Olsen’s. There are many parts sites, just sayin’
Might it be related to the Open House and parts "Warehouse Sale" they are having this weekend??
November 2,3 & 4, 2018 - LCCA at the Lionel 7th Warehouse Sale - Concord, NC
I thought maybe they are talking about Lionel's site because they're having the parts sale.
But Olsens is still down as I noted several days ago too...
I was just getting ready to check out when the site went down, so needless to say, I was frustrated. I too will wake middle of the night to try again.
up 8:25 CST
Its working but very slow to respond. I suspect its getting overloaded.
Pete
Back to normal now. Just submitted a parts request and got immediate conformation.
As of 7:19 am NY time the server is down “due to maintenance or capacity limitations.”
Mike
Geez, I hope the server or server service warranty didn't start on the day it was manufactured.
LOL. Good one!
Lionel support is down again.

Yes...........annoying. Anyone there or are they all at the Warehouse sale.....???
When it first went down I had six items in my cart and was no where near finished looking up parts. It came back on line about 9pm and I told myself to check out but wanted to add one more sound board never found the one I wanted before it was down again. I stayed up till five am this morning trying to get back in but no luck. By the way does anyone know the number of the command sound board for the 28749 JC. #773 Camelback ? That will save me the time of looking it up if the site should come up before midnight Sunday night. I have the number for the Command Upgrade kit which is no longer available but hope the sound board is still available separate. Anyone from Lionel listening, how about extending the sale by the number of hours the site is down ? j
I just finalized what I need, went to the websight to check out and..... yup it’s down. Would be nice if someone from Lionel chimed in here.
I feel sorry for everyone that can not get on the site. I am certain that Lionel did not expect this much action. It sure would be nice if Lionel would offer to hold another "50% off parts sale" in the next 2 to 3 weeks to make up for the crashed site.
I was lucky, placed my order at 9:03 PM Thursday (west coast time) and got in without any problems. Now I just need to wait for the parts to show up. But yesterday, I found a couple of other parts I need, including a DCDS board for a GP7/9.

I had several items in my cart last night and was in the process of checking out and then it went down. I was able to briefly get back on but the cart was empty. Got kicked off again and haven't been able to get back on since. Their server must be so small that it can only take one request at a time.
John, the sale is on until tomorrow night, so you still have time.
Since that Camelback is the TMCC Upgradable version, I'd have to believe it would use the 104-E conventional reverse unit, it plugs into the R2LC slot. If you're replacing it, might as well upgrade to the R2LC-C08 board and have command operation.
What was the end time for the 50 percent off Saturday midnight?
Sunday night at midnight.

John I need the sound board. Already have a R2LC-C08 and a sound power board for the camel. I do have four R2LC on my order just to keep my stock up. I have 5 TAS boards and planning to order remainder of boards I need to fill them. I started converting my conventional roster in Jan 2016 twenty nine down about twenty to go. Do you know who might be able to answer a question. TAS made a 16 amp version of their SAW and Cruise boards they look identical to the 8 amp versions in photos. What I am trying to find out are the output triacs the only change to the boards. If so, what triacs are in the 16A board ? I have three locos with 4 motors and need the 16 amp boards for them. j
been down all day for me
John, I don't know the difference between the TAS boards. I have several EOB boards in my parts box, but I believe they're the standard 8A parts. FWIW, I have a hard time believing the 8A rating isn't enough for an A-B-A with four motors, it always has been.
I finally got in, got my order submitted, but it still says subject to parts availability, which tells me their inventory is not up to date. Only 1 item had a limited quantity, only one left according to the site, so I found a truck one level higher which would work and ordered 4 to keep my TCA streamlined coaches running for a while, they get run 5-8 hours every run day I have at the club, and are very popular with the public.
Maybe Lionel is out of parts.
Still down for me, good thing I already placed my order.

I took advantage of my chronic insomnia and put my order in in the middle of the night on the first day! Nick

Same here. Put my items in the cart Thursday 11pm and came back at 12:05am FRI refreshed the cart to include the discount, paid (less than $80) then went to bed.
That's great that some of you were able to get parts before it ended. Try and remember that a lot of us thought the sale was going to last 3 days, not just part of Friday, and then nothing. I imagine with Lionels recent history, those of us that couldn't order parts because of the website probably won't get another chance until next year, unless they discontinue the sale because of this.
Pretty frustrating...
Is it officially over?
Hello all.
We are aware that the parts website is down and we have been working to restore it. Unfortunately we are still down and looks like we will be down until Monday or so. When we are back up I will be extending the 50% parts sale for the days we were down.
I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this has caused and I thank you for your patience.
Thanks Dean, appreciate the update.

Does anyone know if the 50% off includes a shell for a locomotive where you must contact Lionel to order. Obviously it wouldn’t if they don’t have it but if they do then would it?

I ordered a F3B shell last year and got it half price.
Ok thank you Marty! Definitely the time to get parts especially when they’re more expensive.
