I placed an order. I never have gotten a confirmation. When the site was up again Friday night my order was processing in “My Lionel” space.
Confirming emails have been hit and miss for the last 6 months or so. Same with shipping notices. I have received all my orders within a week regardless.

No confirmation email for me either. But my card was charged.....
Made my order Friday 6AM and did get a web page with an order number; wrote that down; no email.
I guess that's the new normal now.

I just checked and the card was charged, thanks for smacking me along side the head for an alternate way to check the order status.
I am glad that was figured out as our system is still down and I am unable to see which orders have been placed and which did not make it into our system.

I tried Saturday several times and yesterday to no avail. I had my list put together for two weeks for that. Bummer.
Jeremy, Dean said they were going to extend the sale for a couple of days after the site comes back up, so you didn't miss out yet.
I see the parts site is back up, however it's not showing the half off parts in my cart. I guess they're still working on it.

I am pleased to announce that the website is back and operational. I have extended the dates to allow for the extension of the sale through Wednesday 11-8-2018.
You may have to refresh your carts if you do not see the 50% discount.

I placed my order VERY EARLY Friday(12:10AM) without problems. Yesterday(Sunday) heard a noise outside on the porch. Lo and behold, it was the USPS mailwoman delivering my Lionel parts order! I know many of you couldn't place your parts order because of the website crash. I was fortunate and just want to thank Lionel customer service for their lightning quick shipping of my order.

You just input the item into your cart and it should register 50% off automatically.

Went to call in, states to call back within an hour... but, that puts us past the close time of Lionel.
Do it on the website if you can, it's working again. Took me a few tries to get through to ordering when I wanted some "Must Call Lionel" parts.

Same here. A nice feature is you can "see" your cart as you shop and put items in it before going to check-out.
anyone else getting email confirmations? I got a confirmation number when i ordered but have never got a confirmation email. Took me a few tries to get the order to go through. I'm sure they are swamped.
Placed an order tonight. Got a confirmation number but no email. My credit card was charged so I know it went through.
I'm fairly certain that the e-mail confirmation feature hasn't worked for a few years now.

TRW is correct. Several years ago, I placed a parts order but never received the confirming email even though the web page stated that I would receive one after the order was placed. After a few days, I phoned Lionel to ask about my order status and the lack of a confirming email. The Lionel customer service girl told me that my order had been placed and accepted, but they no longer send confirming emails on parts orders.

One more question. How long does it typically take to get a parts order. Clearly they will be backed up right now but just wondering timelines in the past. Assuming they have them In stock.

I ordered Friday morning around 8AM. I think last year it was about a week. This time, they are due to arrive today.
I ordered Friday morning around 9 and received my parts this morning.

About 1 week is my normal when I order after the big sale. Normally 2 days on a regular order.
I ordered Friday 6AM, parts showed up today at 4:30PM; those kids are really movin!
